Opinions on Gretel Killeen as a Big Brother host?

Gretel’s charisma and sense of humour was the best out of the eight I’ve mentioned...

She was a very unique Big Brother host, she was often more candid than the others and didn’t follow the script sometimes. The candidness, which I liked most of the time, didn’t work in her favour at times.

Sometimes she would voice her opinions out too much, and lose all her professionalism while doing that. (The Gretel Incident especially.)

All the controversy that surrounded her hosting methods probably caused her the axe. It was just a huge letdown as she had such an unique personality and I think she would have been my favourite over Davina!

Still think she’s an amazing host, and if BBAU returns, I hope she is at the top of the shortlist of potential hosts, just cut down on your opinions a bit...

Don't know her

My favourite :clap1:

Cracked me up how she'd frequently tell the audience to shut up and treat some of the housemates with barely concealed contempt. With the Michael situation she was in the wrong but I never liked Michael so I just found the whole thing hilarious. The fact that she sat there having a full on argument with him on live TV for nearly 10 minutes :joker:

Oh and that time in BB7 when a crowd member said she won one of the golden tickets through a radio competition and Gretel's like "Hmm, that's interesting isn't it" and ****ing had it investigated during the ad break :joker:

She was just hilarious. I'd be terrified of her in person.

I liked her professionalism when Merlin protested at his eviction, and because he had tape over his mouth; she had to basically do the interview with the remaining housemates. Then the day after the eviction (during the nominations show), Gretel did get to interview Merlin (in which, if I remember correctly, he had apologised for refusing to speak during the eviction show).

I don't have the time nor patience to watch a series longer than 30 days (if it's not on tv) anymore

I saw series 7 and I liked Gretel.

Sonia and Arisa are similar to me in that they just don't have much authority, so they try too hard to be in with the crowd. We're lucky Julie Chen is still doing it at least.

You would...

Gretel

Such a scream. You could tell she wrote her own scripts as well and it made the whole thing that much more authentic.

I've only seen a clip or two of her but she sorta seemed like a primary school headmistress leading an assembly during evictions :joker: SETTLE DOWN, SETTLE DOWN! :clap2:
