I thought the Trump thing was disrespectful and I think this is too.

However, I must say I did have a giggle at people prodding Khan to see if freedom of speech applies to all and whether or not Khan and the London assembly will also approve him being made fun of.

That's a very biased selection of comments MB. I saw a lot more people focused on his role as mayor and his shortcoming than anything racist as you seem to insinuate. Of course there are a few idiots spouting racism but those vile comments are few and far between compared to sensible comments.

Yes, those are some highly constructive comments from multiple people who can't spell "Khan" and one who's asking, in all seriousness, why nobody's protesting Putin's visit

For some yes it will be as those stupid racist comments exist but reading the comments as a whole rather than singling out a few racist ones is pretty conclusive a lot simply want him to do a better job no matter what his race.

Of course not, they're just exercising their right to a peaceful protest (much like those who'll be marching, although I suspect those lot will come up with something more imaginative and hard-hitting than "he's a baby")

The people who've spent over £20k on this, however? I wonder what on earth they think they'll achieve, aside from crippling debt

If the balloon is refused the money goes to charity.

In which case, I feel sorry for whichever charity has to accept the money only as the plan B option to a bunch of Trump supporters failing to inflate a giant toddler

Perhaps it might have been better for them to take the high road and cut out the middle man on this one
