Endemol Submits 3 Year BB Planning Application

This is just being reported by Big Blagger, further details currently unknown. Does this mean a deal has been struck for an extension of the series? The last application was for one year only, so there must be something to it?

ooh this is some positive news!

BBUK-Fan 08-07-2018 06:36 PM

I like this news and like ^ I am glad it’s positive

The fact it's for 3 years could mean it's been renewed or picked up by another channel, hopefully the latter!

i will not still be watching in three years if everything stays the same. i’ve barely watched for the past two.

Yeah I've been fading as well... I didn't watch the last civvy series as I took a break from BB

Hopefully it gets on another channel!

Imagine if it got on C4...

Marsh. 08-07-2018 10:25 PM

Demolish ha!

TomC 08-07-2018 10:26 PM

Why would they even try when Love Island will literally be peaking in the next couple of years?

I've no doubt it'll grow again next year

Morgan. 08-07-2018 10:42 PM

Three years doesn't sound like long but that's literally 9 series :skull:

Ugh so I may actually be able to audition, can’t wait

Jarrod 08-07-2018 11:39 PM

Doesn't mean that the series has been renewed. At the end of Channel 4's run, they applied to keep the house and no deal had been signed with Channel 5 at the time. It could be that Channel 5 are still undecided on renewing the series and are pinning everything on the results of this series.

How long did they apply to keep the house for though? Was it 3 full years ???

Didn’t you just answer your own question

pontyboi 09-07-2018 12:40 AM

The fact Endemol has done this means the shows not going off the air which is good just maybe to another channel and I really hope channel 4 takes it back.

If the planning permission is rejected then I also think that's positive as it needs to be relocated...I want a brand new house in a new location im sure Riverside Studios would take it on and is was rumoured to be moving there years ago if anyone can recall?

RichardG 09-07-2018 12:49 AM

Channel 4 will not take it back, the brand is dead.

BigBrudder 09-07-2018 02:51 AM

Its weird that no matter how good or promising the news, there are some people here who are so negative that you have to wonder why the hell they are still on this forum. One would think that anyone who claims they dont intend to watch and the BB brand is dead would have better things to do than regularly follow a completely BB themed message board and consistently post their negative musings on it. Whatever it is they do still like, they should be focusing on that and leave us to our happiness.
