Would BB Still Have been Successful without ''Nasty'' Nicks Ejection?

Let's Say Nick wasn't removed for his Dastardly Gameplan. Do you think the Show would have been Renewed for a Second Series, and a Further 16 or do you think it would have been a one off Experiment?

Yes. Nick's ejection was big news because the show was gaining popularity and attention rather than the other way around IMO.

It would've definitely got a second series anyway based on the ratings.

Big Brother would still have been renewed, though the series would probably average 4 million, and would probably get cancelled after BB4 or BB6 (the end of the first contract signed from BB2 onwards...)

Do note that the first series was gaining slight traction, even before the Nasty Nick incident...

I was like 4 at the time so can't really comment on its popularity at the time but I cant imagine news of a guy passing notes around would made people run to their TV screens to watch him get kicked out

I was only 5 at the time, But Apparently he was the most hated man in the UK. He was on the cover of every newspaper after his ejection and had to make a Public Apology. His ejection is Tame compared to now, but back then it was the most talked about moment of the Summer.

I Wish i was in my teens then so i could have experienced it with my own eyes.

7 million tuned in to watch his ejection, it seems silly now but it really was treated as big news at the time
