Should safe standing areas be reintroduced to football stadiums.
 
I think its about time standing up at matches is brought back.

They could just stand up from thier seats and do that...these are safe standing areas with limitted numbers allowed in.

The clue is in the name "Safe Standing Areas". These are not the same as the stands of the past. These are completely new innovations that have been approved for use in stadiums.

That was more to do with the fences being there rather than people standing, and of course mistakes made by the police.

The lessons have been learned, alchohol isnt as much of an issue these days and well trained stewards operate well in most stadium..and as stated, these are safe areas for standing, not pig pens.

no, but i know this because my dad went to football matches before, to watch his fave team PSV, and sitting is better than standing
