Do you think May will resign ?

Whats everyones thoughts .... Will Theresa May resign over Brexit ?

Cherie 10-07-2018 04:31 PM

If she didn't resign after the thumping she got at the last election, I can't see her resigning over Brexit, she is a tough cookie no doubt. Can't see Brexit happening either tbh

It would be career suicide for anyone to take on the role at this point, who would want it unless they just wanted the salary for life that goes with the job

bots 10-07-2018 04:36 PM

No she wont resign. While there is a lot of huffing and puffing from all sides and all parties it is a compromise that parliament will get behind.

The bigger issue i think is that the EU wont accept any agreement unless it ties us in completely, so it will eventually end up in a no deal. It is possible that the EU may surprise me, but they have never budged an inch before so I don't see them changing now.

So, i think it will end in a very hard brexit without the brexiteers needing to do anything

Beso 10-07-2018 04:41 PM

Resign.....cause some bumbling halfwitted buffoon opposses her....i dont think so.

chuff me dizzy 10-07-2018 04:44 PM

I think a lot depends on who else follows Davis and Boris

Matthew. 10-07-2018 04:45 PM

ask me this time last week, i tell you no.

ask me now, i say there is a chance.

Kazanne 10-07-2018 05:07 PM

I hope she doesn't , but couldn't blame her if she did ,what a thankless job she has, and also working with people who will happily stab her in the back, I have to say I am very disappointed in Boris in all this,She is trying to deliver us a Brexit that we are all happy with and it's impossible to do,I'de hate her job,she is a tough lady,I'de have told them all to piss off ages ago.

They can all feck off, she can order a new one from ikea that would do a better job than that lot if spineless arseholes..

She can probably do it all on her own anyway.

Crimson Dynamo 10-07-2018 05:18 PM

I find her to be utterly uncharasmatic and so far fairly useless in all she has done

I look at out 2 leaders in Scotland and just think how awful she is and westminster is

both parties in london are an absolute shambolic mess

MTVN 10-07-2018 05:34 PM

No I think she has actually come out of yesterday stronger. She's avoided a no confidence vote, she got a great reception from most Tory MPs yesterday and she now has a cabinet that is a lot more united and loyal to her than it was before. Boris has come out of this looking the worst and the hardline Brexiters are the ones falling out amongst themselves and don't know what to do

Greg! 10-07-2018 06:15 PM

She'll cling on somehow. I think people in her cabinet are waiting for the ****show of brexit to be over before they try and get her job, no-one wants to be associated with it.

Yep you would be mad to try and take over now. Like taking over a team with 10 games to go and you need to win all 10 to avoid relegation..

and you have not won once this season

Strictly Jake 10-07-2018 06:19 PM

Dont follow politics all that much but i can say she has had a hell of a lot to deal with in a year

hijaxers 10-07-2018 06:34 PM

No she's way too stubborn, just like the Thatch, won't go til booted sadly.

Tom4784 10-07-2018 06:42 PM

Hopefully she'll cling on and force her soft brexit through to teach people a good lesson about being informed when it comes to voting.

Withano 10-07-2018 07:01 PM

“When I stepped foot in number ten, I knew I was going to strongly, and stabley resign shortly afterwards”

I can literally hear it.

I think she’ll see brexit through and then resign

Withano 10-07-2018 07:03 PM

although enough Tory MPs resigning to the point that they lose their government-majority doesn’t seem impossible at this point.

GoldHeart 10-07-2018 08:48 PM

I don't know , she looks like she could.

As I've said the government will be the same but the faces may change :bored: . As it feels like we'll always be in a tory leadership .

Livia 11-07-2018 09:51 AM

I don't think she'll jump, I think she will get pushed. And I don't think it'll be too long before that happens.

Nicky91 11-07-2018 10:02 AM

no she won't resign

Do you think someone would be crazy enough to take that job on at the moment. It would end their political career within a year

These are politicians we're talking about. So yes, I think there is a short line of people waiting to step into her Manolos. She's wavering on Brexit, insisting everyone backs her or get sacked... and she's about to offer us a different Brexit to the one the country voted for. The worst thing to happen to May is David Davis stepping down. In my humble opinion, of course...

thesheriff443 11-07-2018 10:16 AM

She won't resign, most powerful job in the country and once in a life time opertunity, as to people saying it would end someone career, do you watch what happens in politics!
