Why do credit card companies increase your credit limit
...when you're not even fully using the credit they've given you??
For example, I had a credit card that had a limit of £2,500. I only used at the most maybe up to £300, and then I'd pay it all back when it was due. The credit card company sent me a letter and said they were really happy with how I was managing my credit card and that they planned to increase my credit limit further. WHY? When I wasn't using the £2,500. |
To encourage you to spend more unfortunately, they tend to do this before an event so if you have a birthday coming up or Christmas in comes the increase, unfortunately not everyone can ignore and spend up and end up paying back for years on end

I've never asked for a rise but they keep giving them. And I keep paying my bill up every month so I don't have to pay interest. I bet they hate me.
I'm not mean. I'm just careful. |
My bank gave me a thousand pound overdraft....dont they see the paddypower deductions on my statements...the fools.

When I first got my credit card I specifically said I wanted a low credit limit and it was was originally £4000 but now it’s up to £7000 :conf2: |

Same here.
But we pay it off every month, so they probably want us to use it for more stuff, then they get the 5% or whatever on all goods purchased. |
