Oh all time? Blah, that's boring

Atm: Dyche, Southgate, Howe, Warnock & Hodgson I guess

I wouldn't say Rodgers because Celtic dominating Scottish football is a bit like a sumo wrestler dominating a sumo wrestling league against a jar of pickled onions.

1. Sir Alex Ferguson
2. Matt Busby
3. Bobby Robson
4. Steve McClaren
5. Harry Redknapp

Steve mclaren....seriously?

Tbh since I've been alive there hasn't been many great British Managers (bar Sir Alex) so my list will probably be terrible.

1. Sir Alex Ferguson - For obvious reasons.

2. Sam Allardyce - He may not play the most exciting Football but he has done well with multiple clubs, especially Bolton Wanderers, and he has only been relegated once in his whole career which is very impressive.

3. Harry Redknapp - He did extremely well with Portsmouth, and he took Tottenham from a team that was bottom of the table and was a complete basket case and turned them into a Quarter-finalist in the Champions League in one of his years. Admittedly he could've done better with us, but his record is still more solid than most of the British Managers that I've seen.

4. Martin O'Neill - He had Leicester, Villa, Wycombe, and Celtic all doing quite well for themselves, in particular he had Villa playing the best Football that I've ever seen them play personally, and even the one year challenged for the top 4.

5. Steve Bruce - He did extremely well with us having us last four consecutive seasons in the Premier League and even when we got relegated he got us straight back up the following season. And he did quite well at Wigan, Hull, and imo he has made Villa look respectable again after the carnage they have gone through since O'Neill's departure from the club.

An honourable mention to McLeish for his accomplishments with us, Rangers, and the Scottish national team.

yes, he made our FC Twente champions a total surprise that was, but Twente made huge errors hiring several other bad coaches with relegation last season as a result

they really miss Steve right now tbh

Bill Shankly and anyone who says different should be banned from football

Alf 30-07-2018 10:55 AM

In no particular order

Sir Alf Ramsey - Won a league title with Ipswich and the only British manager to win the World cup.

Brian Clough OBE- I don't believe anyone could do what he did. First taking Derby from the lower divisions to become champions of England, and to prove it wasn't a fluke, he did the same with Nottingham Forest and went even further with them by winning back to back European Cups. A truly unique one-off.

Sir Alex Ferguson - His trophy record speaks for itself.

Sir Matt Busby - A visionary, built the greatest team in the country first with the Busby babes and after most of that team were tragically killed in a plane crash, which almost killed Busby himself, he came back and built another team that became champions of England and Europe.

Bob Paisley OBE - Shankley built Liverpool FC so I could have chose him, but it was Paisley who had the greatest success in the clubs history, and winning 3 European cups means that he can't be left out.

Honourable mentions for

Bill Struth
Herbert Chapman
Jock Stein
Bill Shankley
Harry Catterick
Bill Nicholson
Don Revie
Bobby Robson
