What does Love Island Need to improve on?
 

I've enjoyed this year, but there's still a few changes the show needs to make in order to become a top tier show.

1. More Diversity- This is the main Criticism the show faces. The Producers need to stop putting one token Black person and a few mixed race people and think they're diverse enough. there needs to be an equal amount of races. This should stop Painful and Awkward moments such as Omar and Rachel and Rykard and Malin coupling up by default, No one stepping forward for Marcel and None of the Boys Choosing Samira.

2. Better Range of Ages- Too Many Early to Mid 20s. Put more Late 20s to Early 30s.

Bigger Personalities- Islanders who are likely to Clash and Provide Non Stop Entertainment and Drama and Not the Get along Gang. Put in some Freaks! There were too Many Bores in this and Last Years Series.

Gameplayer- This Show needs Victor Type Islanders, who admits He/She is using their Partner to Only Stay in the Game as long as they Must and would stab them in the back at any moment. and Unlike the Diary Room, the Beach Hut is Private and the islander won't have their Conversations Played to everyone.

New Twists- The Producers were Lazy AF This Year. They had a whole Year to make some new and Original twist to Shake the Villa Up and Compete with Last Years Major Twist, and instead what do they? They decide to recycle the Same ****.


Increase the Prize Fund- Highly Unlikely and Unrealistic, But like Jack_ Said last night Increase it to £1,000,000 and then we can see how Loyal the couples really are. 4 Series in and not one Couple have stolen the Money. I Bet the Producers kick themselves after each final:laugh:

The thing that stops me watching it is the superficiality of it. Why do they all need to have good bodies?

Because no one is going to step forward for, or graft after someone who they're not attracted to.

Besides Jack Fincham didn't exactly have a good body and he won.

This comment is repeated by a lot of people who don't watch - but the format wouldn't work with 'ugly' people (or those who aren't as attractive, let's say).

All the ugly people would be eliminated fast because they'd be last picked at recoupling's as the more attractive people would sought after.. It is a TV show based on attraction essentiially. Putting in people that are not attractive would make the show boring and predictable. It sounds bad but Love Island is a shallow TV show.

The thing is Love Island knows that it's shallow and a tad trashy at times but they don't try to hide it or make it seem sophisticated - they play up to it which makes it much more enjoyable. Their self awareness is key to the success.

get rid of the 'twist' at the end

no one in a 'happy couple' is going to intentionally look like a dickhead in front of everyone and take the money especially with the show's increasing popularity so the twist is just pointless

just crown the winners and be done with it

honestly i don't think game players would work on L.I, big brother is different because it's a game show, where as L.I the reason you are supposedly supposed to go in for is 'love' (****), so as soon as someone revealed that in the beach hut fiat 500 twitter would come for blood and ensure they'd be next out

for the twist they need to make the islanders decided if they want to split or share BEFORE entering the villa and then revealing at the final / at aftersun interviews what each person chose, so even if they don't win we could still see

the issue with drama is the fact that back in S2 it was so iconic because they had no idea how big it was, so they were A) doing whatever they wanted not thinking that they would have a career on the other end, hence having sex in a cupboard, terry moving on from malin etc., now the islanders are so much more clued up they know that by being 'the normal gal' they are more likely to get a show post career as proven year after year, and the dramatic ones (Liv Attwod, Meg, Hayley) come out hated

honestly the fiat 500s are ruining the show like fook off, they cant stand anyone whos likes to speak their mind & then complain when were left with a snoozefest after they campaigned for the iconic gals to leave</3

i'd love a twist where it was like annihilation week in BB17, where we have couples and individual islanders tested and either a couple or an individual islander goes every night of the week, tempting them with cash prizes etc. THEN we could see game players etc. and casa amor could follow the week after to make up numbers and so we don't have a repeat of 24 islanders in the main villa at once lmao

yass that exposed alex, jason, jackson etc & would probably expose josh, dr alex etc but the fiat500s would prob just brush it off cuz they sorta let males off with everything lmao
