Trump calls it ''fake disgusting news'' when he was late at meeting the queen

President Trump made several vicious attacks on the media over its reporting
He said they had lied about him being late for his meeting with the Queen in July
Trump said he had been early to meeting and got on with her 'fantastically well'

President Donald Trump has spoken of his meeting with the Queen - and strongly rejected that he was late to greet her or that he overstayed his welcome.

Speaking at a passionate rally in Pennsylvania last night, the president - who visited Britain in July - said the 'fake, fake, disgusting news' was responsible for lying about his encounter with Elizabeth II.

He said: 'I was asked to have tea with the Queen, who is incredible by the way. Incredible.

'I landed [and] I'm on the ground and I'm waiting with the King's and the Queen's guards, wonderful people. I'm waiting. I was about 15 minutes early and I'm waiting with my wife and that's fine. Hey, it's the Queen, right? We can wait. But I'm a little early.'

He added: 'So, I then go up and meet the Queen and she is fantastic. We then go up and we have tea. And I didn't know this - it was supposed to last 15 minutes but it lasted like an hour. Because we got along. And she liked our first lady and our first lady liked her.

'But we got along fantastically well. But the time went by - you know, sometimes you get along and the time goes by.

'So here was the story by the fake news: The president was 15 minutes late for the Queen. Wrong.

'And then, here's the rest of the story: The president overstayed. So I was late and I overstayed. But honestly, folks, it was such a beautiful, beautiful visit and afternoon.

'But they can make anything bad because they are the fake, fake, disgusting news.'

He earlier said he has 'great respect for the UK - the United Kingdom. Great respect.'

The president then discussed the country's names, explaining: 'People call it "Britain", they call it "Great Britain". They used to call it "England", different parts. But the UK - great respect.'

He also lashed out at 'low-IQ' Maxine Waters during the speech.
Trump took the stage at an arena in Wilkes-Barre by declaring: 'I'm thrilled to be back in the state that gave us American independence.' A protester was thrown out of the event just 13 minutes as Trump shouted, 'Get them out of here'.

The President asked his supporters to 'remember that incredible night' when he won the 2016 election and re-hashed favorite topics including his summits with Kim Jong-un and President Putin; tax cuts; immigration policy; and NATO military spending.

President Trump described how he told his wife about how he 'just stopped missiles from being launched every two seconds' or accomplished other things, and thinks the media' is 'finally going to treat me so good,' but doesn't.

He also mocked the press for saying he wasn't tough enough on Putin.
'They wanted me to go up and have a boxing match,' he said. 'Whatever happened to diplomacy?'

There is a lot of fake news about where Trump is concerned,so it's hard to know what to believe, infact 'fake news' is rife everywhere.

Anything that paints him in a bad light is fake news in his eyes and sadly a lot of people eat that narrative up because who cares about fact checking and the truth when someone's telling you what you want to hear?

yep no one is allowed to say anything negative about him, in his eyes and otherwise he simply throws a tantrum and says ''fake news''

america chose the wrong president, but Hillary wouldn't have been a good president either

i think the right choice could've been Bernie Sanders, who had the support of the youth, he had some good political views as well

Everything is about him in his mind as he's likely a clinical narcissist and watching cable news here, it certainly does seem that way. So any chatter about him, he is going to feel obliged to give some redundant overture or rambling commentary. He can't help it. He likes the attention too much.

The other side of that, imo, some of the media also has the same tendencies towards narcissism and they won't let up on any criticism, as if they're the bastions of truth and justice. Even when it's rightfully given. Mainly cable/network news has this issue. (And I do feel like that's the "lens" he sees most media through.)

Indeed; a narcissist having it confirmed to them by external sources that they ARE very important, is a very bad combination.

I'm screaming that he lied about this when there's literally footage of the queen standing there waiting and looking at her watch.

...I think it’s a bit of a can’t win either way situation for the media though..it is a very bad combination for a narcissist but then by definition of being a narcissist he would always find that ‘confirmation’ from some source, in some way because it is all in his mind, from his perspective...and I also understand why the media keep feeding him as it were...because being a narcissist is all well and good but not if you have so much power over people’s lives as he does...they also cannot not comment continually as it’s far too important..to the world really..so it’s a visious circle and cycle etc...The media could ‘ignore’ more...but narcissism with extreme power as he has, would always find a way, I think...

..poor Elizabeth, she probably had to drink cold tea as well because he couldn’t praise himself enough in 15 minutes as was allocated...he had a whole hour of fine Trump greatness to get through to her...what’s the point of being the Queen if you sometimes have to still drink cold tea when a certain American President comes to call....
