Quick question regarding trans.

Could a bloke freeze his sperm then impregnate himself when he has had a sex change?

arista 05-08-2018 11:34 AM

Yes

Nicky91 05-08-2018 11:36 AM

quite interesting, but the answer is no i think

it would be a good idea though for someone to freeze his sperm before doing undergoing sexchange if he decides to have children later on, a unlikely thought but you never know, some might not think of children necessarily while undergoing that sexchange but they could have a change of heart after that and then it's too late

Beso 05-08-2018 11:36 AM

I think i like the sound of that.

Are y’all taking the absolute piss?

A trans woman isn’t capable of being pregnant so no

mmm they would also need to have ovaries and periods which seems very complicated to me .... not sure trans surgery has got further than adding a vagina...could be wrong though

Err all of the people saying "no it's impossible", you clearly have not seen "Junior" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. They have been able to do this since the early 90's, thanks to a drug called Expectane which allows biological males to become pregnant.

Cherie is absolutely right. When doing sex change surgeons recreate only external sexual organs and mimic the hormonal action of gonads (testicles and ovaries) by hormonal injections.
Creating gonads or even uterus is beyond the current medicine.
And transplanting them (if possible) wouldn't make sense because the genetic material would be of the donor. So you'd create the child of, say a pre-op man and the woman donor who donated ovaries.
If you want to create 100 percent your own genetic offspring then cloning is the way to go, far more straightforward, but not officially done with humans.

One of the worst movies ever made.

Even if you could,Surely that would be incest?

You need a mix of genes?

MTVN 05-08-2018 12:12 PM

What does the baby call the parent

ethanjames 05-08-2018 12:19 PM

nah trans woman cant have biological children sadly

Well yes if you literally combined a sperm and egg with identical genetic material, the baby would be at high risk of birth defects. It's higher with twincest than with regular old sibling incest (which is again higher than say, uncle incest where it's one step further removed again) so one would assume that... selfcest...? would be even riskier.

Then again, it usually takes a couple of generations of incest for significant genetic problems to arise, so who knows .

Of course they can't! Transwomen are still biologically male, and having their penis inverted doesn't make them sprout ovaries and a womb.
