10 celebs who have previously rejected CBB

Elizabeth McKenna

The businesswoman might have been the breakout star of The Apprentice 2017 – but she turned down the chance to take that new-found fame further with a stint on CBB, instead focusing on restructuring her business.

‘At that point in my life and my career, to take a month out to do Big Brother was something that I just couldn’t have done,’ she explained to the Express – but admitted she wouldn’t rule out something similar in the future.

Lamar Odoom
According to reports, Khloe Kardashian’s ex was offered a huge payday to take part in the series but turned it down – despite bosses being really keen to add him to the ‘eye of the storm’-themed series.

Alan Sugar

The Apprentice frontman was reported back in 2011 to have turned down an offer to appear on the reality show – although plenty former casualties of the boardroom, including Luisa Zissman, Jessica Cunningham, Andrew Brady and James Hill – who actually won the 2015 summer series – have taken part.

Eamon Holmes

This one’s a bit confusing as reports suggested the daytime TV favourite had turned down a six-figure sum to be a housemate – reports which were denied by Eamonn himself.

‘How you can tell this story is nonsense is when the fee they apparently offered me was £800,000 and to which I was supposed to have said, “I don’t need the money”,’ he explained. ‘Folks, let me tell you, the words you’ll never hear from my lips are, “I don’t need the money”. So suffice it to say, fake news.’ So maybe this one could happen after all?

Honey G

Rumours have abounded about Honey G making an appearance on CBB ever since she found fame on The X Factor, but so far it hasn’t happened – because she’s chosen to focus on her music career instead.’Her priority is concentrating on her music, rapping and producing. She’s currently busy writing her album,’ her manager told the Mirror last year.

Mark Wright

The Towie star admitted previously he had rejected an offer from the CBB producers in order to focus on The Only Way Is Essex, which he was still in at the time. ‘4 the people asking I can confirm that I did turn down an offer from CBB,’ he told his fans. ‘I am not leaving Towie as it’s in my heart.’ Although he did ultimately accept an offer from I’m A Celebrity in 2011, finishing runner-up to Towie’s Dougie Poynter.

The Krankies

Ian and Jeanette Tough might currently be appearing on The Real Marigold Hotel – but they’ve given CBB a wide berth. Having turned down a big money deal, Ian told The Sun Channel 5 said they would literally have done anything to get them in the house.

'Channel 5 weren’t bothered – they said they would parachute us in,’ he explained. ‘I hope they didn’t mean that literally as Wee Jimmy is scared of heights.’

James Arthur

The chart-topping singer admitted in 2016 he had turned down a £250,000 offer to join the house. Speaking to Daily Star Sunday he admitted it would have been a ‘life-changing’ sum of money but said: ‘I’m a huge fan of those shows but I don’t think there’s any chance I would be back at number one now if I’d gone down that route.’

Joan Collins
Rumours abounded that the Dynasty legend might enter the house after her best bud Christopher Biggins admitted he’d been offered £300,000 to take part – but said he would only take part if Joanie did too – for £1m. Both said no at the time although Biggins did eventually become a housemate in 2015 – as for Joan, well we’re still waiting…

Yeah I always did get the feeling they asked Elizabeth but declined so settled for a desperate fame hungry moron like Andrew who probably asked them himself

Mark Wright

Since when was Dougie Poynter in TOWIE?

LukeB 09-08-2018 07:18 PM

What made them think Lord Sugar would say yes?

Withano 09-08-2018 07:51 PM

The ten on that list would be like the best cast though if they were all bunged up together haha
