Rodrigo was removed because of the first night Incident
Rod was removed for his N comments on the first night
They had a lot Of pressure from sponsors to remove him so rather than lose money they made up another incident and didn't show it |
...BB should not have needed any pressure at all from sponsors or anyone else...they had a responsibility to the public to remove him at the time, to show they wouldn’t tolerate such offence and disrespect but they didn’t...they waited for sponsors to start withdrawing..?...that’s all kinds of screwed up morality and responsibility...oh that word and term is ok to just get a warning, that’s ok in its message to society in allowing him to stay..but have our money taken away...oh no, no, no..
...I’m glad they’ve had their ass kicked with this by the sponsors but they shouldn’t have needed that ass kicking is the point though... |

BB is a social experiment and as such ALL life should be observed. Good and bad When you start sanitising and editing out opinions and people then your effectively living in an echo chamber He should not have been removed full stop It's offensive yes but it wasn't said with malice We should only be elimating negativity. Negativity is toxic |
If that’s the case, that’s real sh!tty especially since Rodrigo was one of the only good things about this series/ a lovely person.
Tho I suspect it’s probably another incident and they don’t wanna show it because of all the crap they got from showing Rodrigo saying the n word |

...we can’t though ever do a direct black and white comparison to something, Ellie ...because no two things are identical, there are differences as well which also need equal focus on...I honestly can’t recall the Emily thing, I might not even have watched that series or just can’t recall without recapping, you know..?...the word itself wouldn’t have any acceptability for me but yeah BB can be very inconsistent also which is wrong and may have decided on other factors added to it of how it was used and whether it was said with heightened anger and therefore a ‘threatening’ housemate also, someone just too unpredicatable, maybe with anger and emotions etc..?..although never acceptable with some terms, awful things are said in heightened anger moments, that’s just a fact reall6 for some...this was less understandable for me to have been ‘accepted’ by BB with just a warning because it was a matter of fact term that was just said in an average conversation...a term that he seems quite at easy in using and felt nothing wrong with...no anger involved, no heightened emotion involved in a possible ‘moment of madness’... |
...I mean that word doesn’t have to be said in ‘malice’ for it to be unacceptable, that’s the point...it carries malice in its own weight just by its use I; the way Rodrigo did use it...he dismissed the guys he preferred as finding sexually attractive as a derogatory term in that one word and separated them from their own individuality as people...as individual people he apparently liked and was attracted to...he dismissed them from their identities as human beings of equal worth to every other human being...and you feel that doesn’t define ‘negativity’, Ellie...

if you take the same argument to the extreme of it being a social experiment so peoples warts and all should be acceptable, then where does one draw the line.
Like it or not, money and viewers are what TV is all about. If the show is not sustainable without sponsorship then they need to listen to those with their hands on the purse strings. It's really that simple. |

I mean,I thought he should’ve been booted on the night he said it atleast for consistency.
But they need to make up their minds.Either keep him or kick him out don’t do one and then the other and don’t do it slyly off camera. |

So in future if anyone genuinely wants to walk immediately all they have to do is go to the DR and say "I'm an N lover, get me out of here" and the door will open within seconds.

No its that IMO, some people on Facebook are saying its because he said mixed race, since when has this been offensive ( Please dont tell me the snowflakes have invented a new "insult" ) But I didnt even hear him say this and I rewound a couple of times to try and catch something

We are agreeing alot this series, there was no malice in his words and for that removal was unnecessary, it was a compliment if anything |

I'm confused though,.. as wasn't what he said "i love the N* boys" saying that he loves to date back people... I get that would be very bad if black saves in the modern world 1st world countries exist but they dont... and he was saying that he loves to be with them so hes complementing them and insulting them at the same time so I would not of thought that he go removed just for that...
I recon he used that word again... only bb dont even want to admit it as last time they admitted it, they lost sponsors and had 1000 complaints from viewers so this time they wil tell people on the forum who like bb enough to research into why he was removed (only just leave it open to debate) but they dont want to put the 2nd offence on tv so that the public can see it clearly... they clearly dont want to publicises it as they dont want to get 1000's of complaints that will make channel 5 want to cancel the show! |
