[An Emirates superjumbo in New York has been met by ambulances, police and
disease control experts after passengers became unwell.
Dozens of vehicles surrounded the aircraft at JFK airport,
with people on board reportedly coughing and feverish.
Experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were called to the scene.
The plane - a double-decker Airbus A380 - arrived in New York from Dubai shortly after 9am morning.]

Sounds very worrying. I wonder if it's suspected MERS.

yes this was just on the news here as well, honestly i had experienced it a bit as well on the plane to San Francisco, the pilot made the announcement for us to stay in our seats despite we had already landed, they said we might have a passenger with the SARS virus on board, so they needed to examine that further on board before they could let us go through the airport gate, eventually there wasn't a huge contagion threat so we could go through the gate approx. 10 to 15 minutes later


but yeah i really know what the other passengers here must've been thinking, this is a stressful situation i guess
