He's right though, moderates like me are being/have been purged. Those who aren't purged are walking away.

No. If you don't fit in his brand of looney left politics you're made to feel like you're not welcomed esp by members of momentum on twitter.
If you don't back one policy of Corbyn's manifesto, you're branded a Tory, a traitor and a Blairite.

Yeah it's sad how it's become for moderates, Underscore... we have a similar issue with Democrats in the US. I was a Democrat voter during my 20's (mostly)... I don't think it's so blatant as that in the US that they will not extend the invite, but more of those folk don't fall under certain categories in terms of what they believe and where they stand on things like abortion, economy, etc.. they're branded racists... which is really just a naughty word now for being Conservative. As I see it, they're just sacrificing their own... not really eating their own, though it's basically the same, but yeah... gotta make examples of certain people to get their agenda out...
Have you ever heard of #walkaway? There's a few channels on YT with videos.. aside from the woo Trumpmania folk( ̄ ¨ヽ ̄ ), many are people who were firmly progressive at one point in time, who have very interesting views now from a more moderate/non-partisan POV who are coming away from even groups like LGBT feeling burnt by their own groups because of that exact reaction you mention... there was this one video by a gay British guy I found particularly interesting... sort of like with TiBB, I wouldn't have expected that even our moderate-right look even remotely appealing to British nationals...
On my part, I helped vote in a moderate candidate in the Republican primaries who is not some batsh** evangelical, and actually recognizes non-Christian voters (such as gay, LGBT, gay marriage), so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully he wins... I think the left have gotten too big for their britches, but the Republicans have a lot they are still answering for as well... I do think we will end up with a newly energized moderate base of sorts particularly in the more southern portions of the US, though the mainstream will always say the opposite as long as fear-mongering and hyper-partisanship keeps the bills paid... anyway, trying to contain my words to a few paragraphs so won't go any deeper into that point... :spin:
