Random Childhood memories
 

i will start with

being hit on the head with a cricket ball in my local park.

A dokey lad in my class in infants school randomly walking into the hall for PE completely naked and not realising he'd taken his vest and pants (old skool) off until we all pissed ourselves laughing!

I fell in the fire

What can I say, I had an eventful childhood

I remember us poor kids building a small square in the field out of old house bricks and lighting a fire in it then putting an old pan on the top with bits of old lead piping in it.

We used old tin cans - peas, beans etc - upturned and filled the shallow rimmed bottom with clay from the field then cut out shapes from it -- Stars were the favourite -- then once the lead had melted we would pour it into the makeshift moulds and let it set and cool.

They were bright as silver but bloody useless really but we all wanted one anyway.

Playing "doctor" with the girl across the street. It was so ****ed up, but she was actually a year older than me so it was her who was a criminal.

I grew up in a rough area so I wasn't let outside EVER
But on that note all I can remember is my friend dying
Like it's a term I use loosely bc we knew each other for like a year and it was talking on the playground but still

Getting buck naked and doing "examinations". I remember not really wanting to do it and the girl insisting. Was I abused??? I think I was like 6 and she was 7 :joker:

I do also remember seeing a really ill looking / bald kid in nursery when I was maybe 4 and being concerned about it but never asking anyone, wondered about it for years, then when I was about 12 or 13 a girl in our class did a class talk about how she had childhood leukemia and I was like "Ooooohhh, she was the bald kid!!"... like a decade long mystery coming together.
