Is this the 1st time in over a decade the launch twist was actually good?

I actually loved the twist tonight.

I was initially scared it would ruin a phenomenal start to the series as the cast are amazing and everything Emma promised but was very surprised how well executed it was.

Even though I wanted back to basics im coming around to the thought this year will probably be more BB USA and have faith the producers can carry it out perfectly unlike what they tried to do with BB15.

It was a... good twist?? Im pleasantly surprised. Loved it!

It’s a great twist and I can’t actually believe it’s not been done before?

Cherie 14-09-2018 10:51 PM

The twist

It feels like a robust enough idea that it could work as a permanent format change going forward, which is no doubt part of the reason they've done in. It could be the meeting of UK & US style Big Brother I've been longing for.

Best launch twist since bb6.

At least no earpieces though they effectively gave a housemate immunity, depending how many coins are up for grabs throughout the week.

Well, they dropped 900 coins tonight. Added to the 100 given to Sian for winning the pre-series poll, there are 1000 already.

So, there's a lot of coins. But Sian would have to do pretty badly to end b3 imo

I think that's why it's a good twist.

It's actually a thought out "twist" on the format of the game.

Rather than an earpiece gimmick or some other trashy task they started to label a "twist".

It was amazing this last year big brother wise (outside of ****ty cbb21) have been full of pleasant surprises

So the last month, not year, then?

AProducer'sWetDream 14-09-2018 11:23 PM

Yeah I was really worried about this before we knew what it was- that someone would win a pass to the final/immunity/the power to nominate. But I was really pleasently surprised and the twist does what it says on the tin. It makes the nominations process more competetive, giving Sian an advantage but not too great an advantage, as she still has to work hard to collect coins and retain them. Great idea

We like to pretend that abomination of a series doesn’t exist

Jordan. 14-09-2018 11:27 PM

Watching them all scramble for the coins was gold, we stan

All down to Mr Osbourne king of tasks joining production?

Jase. 14-09-2018 11:41 PM

Sianham scurrying to the corner to collect all the coins without anybody noticing, only for Tomasz to catch her out and mince on over to join her was iconic.

Great twist. Original, well executed. Excellent start to the series l

Eddie. 15-09-2018 04:16 AM

Love how simple yet entertaining the twist was, probably one of the best ever...

GoldHeart 15-09-2018 04:39 AM

I found it funny how the bit coins dropped like a bunch of fruit machines exploded in a casino :joker: , and seeing the housemates desperately scramble around and fight for them .

y.winter 15-09-2018 08:49 AM

It was pretty good and can carry the entire series.

Though we know "Lewis G, you blinked - congrats, you earn 2000 coins! oh, you did it again! another 2000!" will be coming.

storybrooke 15-09-2018 10:57 AM

It was a pleasant surprise, glad it wasn't a nominations twist or golden ticket to the final on the first night
