Itv bb would be hot af

This could be a very good thing, as the following article states that ITV is definitely still the front runner. Competing bids, however, can help BB UK, because ITV can offer to carry it on one of their channels. The more interest, the more leverage Endemol has with ITV. The other potential suitors do not have a UK broadcasting arm so could not offer what ITV can-- a guaranteed platform for BB.

Would Endemol necessarily push for Big Brother to be aired if they're selling the company tho?

This is probably a stupid question but if ITV owned Endemol would they also have to buy the rights to show Big Brother on their channels? Or would they automatically have the rights

I'm pretty sure that since Endemol own the rights, buying Endemol would mean gaining the rights.

Something similar happened in Israel. It was actually the other way round - Endemol bought the rival channel, so BB automatically moved to that channel (revamped and all).

What ratings does ITV 2 typically get outside of Love Island? Do they have any other big shows in Autumn etc

I'm not sure but their 'Winter Love Island' Survival of the Fittest was a massive flop and got like 300k iirc. I think LI ratings are like quadruple their average viewers lol.

pontyboi 19-09-2018 09:36 PM

I so hope ITV get it I mean they aren't shy of showing offensive content seeing as people actually shagged on LI in the past.

Also they have various channels where they can promote the show for free especially during prime time to appeal to a massive audience.

It all comes down to money though and unfortunately Channel 5 won the rights last time.
