I think he plays more dumb than he is. But don't think he's particularly smart.

I think the thick act he seems to put on is part of his gameplan. Intelligent people, on a show like BB, should not let on that they are intelligent. For some reason the audience seem to love thick people. Plus everyone thinking you are thick makes manipulation so much easier.

If this is an act them give he man an Oscar

He is certainly on the ball, playing the game well.

He is playing the game so i guess he's not as dumb as he makes out , but i wouldn't call him clever .

I was surprised to see him playing chess.

...well put it this way...he has to be really, I mean there’s no two ways about that...I would fear for him if he’s as dumb as he looks or lets on...

Put it this way; did you expect to see him playing chess? Let alone quite clearly beating Cameron effortlessly at chess? He was playing it down saying either of them could still win, but Cameron could see he was out matched.

I'm not saying that being able to play chess necessarily makes someone a genius, but for me it did show that there's a lot more underneath the game face.

...I’ve played many hours of chess with 6yr olds and they have often beat me effortlessly..:laugh:...it doesn’t even make him mature, let alone a genius...we know what’s under the game face because he’s told us already...Stephen Bear traits are under the game face which he’s going to adopt for his game...not even original, not even his own game...but someone else’s...tut, tut...he can take his game and his copy cat Bear and check it out of the house...mate...

...come back when he’s mature enough to be himself and an original...

i don't think he is particularly bright. He may have more about him than the others in there, but thats really not saying a lot.

I agree that he's partially emulating Bear but I still disagree on the chess. It's not the hardest game in the world, but the fact that he has played and knows how to play hints that there's more going on than most would have assumed on launch night. You can't deny that surely, Ammi.
