John Lewis set to host first ever Quality Street pick and mix stations for Christmas
https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ity-Street.jpg
High street department store John Lewis will be letting Quality Street fans create their own pick and mix festive tins in stores this year for Christmas. Shoppers will be able to visit one of 11 participating John Lewis stores throughout the country to create their very own mix of all their favourite sweets. The genius festive pop-up, part of John Lewis' Christmas shopping experience , means customers can fill up on at least three different flavours they like from the 12-strong selection of Nestle classics - (we're partial to the purple wrapper one ). So chocolate fans can finally ditch the ones that are normally leftover at the bottom of the tin (strawberry cream, we're looking at you). https://www.mirror.co.uk/money/shopp...-host-13274976 |
early Christmas promotion :o

Pfft i can already imagine the horrendous queues as your waiting to take your turn. I hate the whole xmas shopping period awfully busy everywhere, traffic a nightmare, and people being absolutely rude ignorant selfish and crazy, which totally misses the point
Anyway back to this article, i would literally fill mine full of fingers, toffee pennies, and fudge. But lets be honest by the time you got to use them it would only be the random triangle ones and the coconut ones left. Eww |
After reading the article that says it costs 12 pound for one tin i dont think i will bother. You can get 3 tins worth for that most supermarkets do them for 4 quid!

I'll have a box just literally full of green triangles LT. I'll slide my address into your DM's.
Well It'll be P.O. box obviously. But I'll get them fine. |
I stopped bying QS years ago because there seemed to be more strawberry / orange creams than anything else, and we never ate them. However, we did love the green triangles, buit i''m not paying 12 quid for those.

Strawberry creams, orange creams, my two favourites.
Must be a big tin for twelve quid mind. Just bought Roses, Quality street, Heroes and Celebrations in Tesco, £14 for the lot. |
Quality Street is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. And for the cost of one of those horrible big plastic tubs you could buy a little box of proper chocolates. Last Christmas my Mum bought one of Morrison's own ugly plastic tub of sweets and they were far superior to Quality Street.

So I might get one of those this year. Thanks. Does anybody know about Toblerone's going back to the old shape again after people complained about the huge gaps? |
