I love Madonna

Ugh what a musical icon. Can't believe I slept on her till this year.

I've been bopping to borderline, into the groove, vogue, human nature and ray of light all week!

Marsh. 20-09-2018 09:22 PM

Yep, her bops are definitely the ones from a couple of decades ago. :clap1:

Don't touch her recent sh*t however. :idc:

I'm loving how the younger generation appreciate what a legend she is. (Well, the one's who matter anyway). Her last couple of albums weren't that great (by her standards) but they were much better than what other pop princesses have pooped out.

Her last great album was 2005's "Confessions On A Dancefloor" imo . "Hung Up", "Get Together", "Sorry", "Future Lovers" , "Let It Will Be", "Forbidden Love" and "How High" are all top drawer material. Her last 3 albums all have hidden gems on them, so you should listen and decide for yourself without letting others do it for you. You'll never know unless you listen yourself.

Your list is missing Hollywood and Hung up

TomC 04-10-2018 03:32 PM

Self-titled is her best album (wall-to-wall bops) and lucky star is her best song :love:

I love them, Tom.

"Lucky Star", "Angel", "Dress You Up", "Deeper and Deeper" are very underrated. You should listen to her "Who's That Girl" tracks from the movie. They're great little bops. I'm sure you'd love them.

Very surprised about non singles like "Survival", "Think of Me" and" White Heat" being in your list too. Amazing song choices. :dance: xxx

Have you heard "Spotlight" - it's another 80's track but only available on the "You Can Dance" compilation:

I have to say, I play the first album more than "Like A Virgin" and "True Blue". It's a dance classic.

Confessions on a Dancefloor >>>>> any other album bar self-titled and True Blue tbh. Absolute BEAST of an album. Only bad song is 'I Love New York' and even that's fine

I love that record so much and will be posting information (along with others) on the recording / creative process leading up to it's release. It's her best album from the 00's.

@Tomc
Have you heard "You Can Dance"? It's a remix compilation of her earlier hits. Love what they did with "Everybody" on that album.
