House meetings

What do you think about housemates that call house meetings?

if they are called with the agreement of the majority, it seems fine, but Akeem did himself no favours by dictating what he wanted. I expect him to be nominated today.

I think it's very necessary, especially when a communal strategy is needed such as budgeting for food.

The problem is some people don't like others calling a house meeting as it can appear like they are dictating

But Akeem did a good job - he did it for everyone's equal benefit - and he clearly asked if anyone had anything to add.

Didn't stop Isaac trying to belittle him though: but that says more about Isaac's ego issues than it does about the way Akeem handled it

Generally, I believe it's good to have them when living together in a house.
But the way Akeem tricked the housemates into doing it has shown that he's self-important once again.

Some things need to be discussed, someone has to have a level head or the place would be a disaster, I feel so sorry for Akeem and the bullying that aimed at him ,ALL started by Tomasz who has sown hate seeds for a while now

I think it's a really responsible thing to organise and helps all housemates have their views heard. Don't see why he'd be criticised for it.

If anyone else had done it, nothing would have been said

I can see how Akeem can be like head boy and rile others up however good his intentions.

I would like to see him let loose, get drunk, have a laugh and shed that goody two shoes persona for a while.
