Anyone watching this on ITV - why does everyone look like they have yellow splodges on their skin? Is it my telly being weird?

Matthew. 14-10-2018 08:45 PM

I’m watching it but can’t say I’m seeing any yellow splodges?

Nah he's okay, just a bit stuck in his ways, and not used to the idea of a trans child.
Spoiler:

He said he wouldn't care if Max(ine) was gay, and used female pronouns in the preview for next week.

On my To Watch list!

Thought this was amazing. It struck me that it was probably the most brutally honest depiction of these sorts of feelings I'd ever watched. With the main character being so young, it was almost jarring to hear that sort of candidness coming out of her (for the sake of argument as currently, he is still a boy) but it was so refreshing. Can't wait for next week.

Twosugars 15-10-2018 11:26 PM

caught up and deffo worth watching

Garfie 16-10-2018 02:15 AM

Yes, definitely well worth watching. A true depiction of such a situation, and the confused and conflicting reactions trans children and their families experience. I thought it was really well done, and depicted a very brave little girl.

Need to watch this, the Cry and BB are telly overload on Sunday

Wig @ her stealing the money

....I missed the first episode and only just discovered it last night...the scene in the bath with the glass was heartbreaking...it made me think of forum discussions about puberty blockers and it often not approved of because of a child’s age...but what about when children don’t reach ‘older’ because of their unhappiness and taking their own lives...

thesheriff443 22-10-2018 07:05 AM

Watched a little last night, but this story is close to home as my elderly neighbor grandson is now going to school as a girl and living as a girl.

My neighbor can’t get her head round it.

Ammi 22-10-2018 07:09 AM

...do you know if your neighbour is watching it, sheriff...?...maybe recommend it to her if not...
