Will Changing the voting system to VTS make you switch off

I have been really enjoying this series, but I just can't continue watching an interactive reality show where the voting system is changed to favour a particular brand of housemate half way through the series. What its basically done is remove some controversial characters early, then change the system to keep others.

Whats the point of watching a viewer interactive show where the producers are showing bias toward a particular conclusion. I won't continue watching if its changed. Poll incoming

Jack_ 17-10-2018 07:58 AM

Producer manipulation has been going on for well over a decade and is part and parcel of most reality shows, so long as it is in the interest of enhancing and protecting the series I couldn't care less, in fact I encourage it. The public need to be saved from themselves

It should never have reverted back to vote to evict in BB14, let alone last year, let alone this series. So I'm glad they've done this, I just hope they rig it

Amy Jade 17-10-2018 07:59 AM

Even if it benefited my favourite it seems silly to offer a vote change mid series. I understand trying new things but this just feels like blatent manipulation.

I will still watch but should it change to VTS I will not vote again.

Ammi 17-10-2018 08:17 AM

...it’s probably the last series I’ll watch so I’ll watch until the ‘era’ ends for me ..whoever remains in and whoever doesn’t...whoever wins and whoever doesn’t...

joeysteele 17-10-2018 08:19 AM

Personally I find it unfortunate the poll makes this about only Lewis.
Vote to save could help many.
Hussain fans, if he has many, cannot really help much in a 3 way eviction.
It's not just about Lewis.

I voted wrong on the poll anyway, I voted yes in a rush as a Lewis fan but should have voted no.
I won't switch off and am a Lewis fan.

These loaded questions in polls just confuse.
So I stress here.
No, I won't switch off with vote to save

I have since I first watched BB, supported vote to save.
That way of voting for all housemates, not just one, is the only real means for supporters of a housemate to be behind them all the way through.

I really do wish, as often people in a rush re work etc; that polls had a way of itchanging your vote when you've voted the wrong way.

Especially with such loaded and personalised to a single housemate, (out if 10 housemates left), choices in said loaded question.

I agree with this, and it would irritate me if they change it at this stage in a blatant attempt to keep a certain housemate; I would feel the same way whether it was someone I supported or not.

I would have preferred VTS from the start with VTE for the viewers' nomination, but don't believe it's fair to change it midway through a series.

I only vote when a particular result strongly matters for me, rather than every time, and would do so even if they change it. I intended to vote this week but must admit I will feel I've been a little bit cheated if it changes to VTS now.

It won't stop me from watching though, as I have always watched the whole series no matter what. If I didn't, to me it would feel like watching half a film or reading half a book and stopping part way through, depriving myself of how the story develops and ends. That would feel frustrating to me as I'm already invested. As Ammi said, I think that's particularly true with this being the final series, and I want to make the most of it whilst it's still here as I will feel sad when it ends.

Thomas, Hussain and Lewis would all stay in a vote to save.

I like how you think you have some superior knowledge about what the rest of us think we want.

Getting Lewis out to me is not 'counter-productive'. It's counter-destructive bc every time he comes on screen I want to destroy the tv :)

Vanessa 17-10-2018 08:45 AM

Cameron is safe either way, so even if Lewis goes i will support him. Because he's my second favourite.

Cherie 17-10-2018 08:46 AM

so the voting system has changed?

there is a viewer poll for save or evict that finishes tonight that will affect every eviction from here to the end

Niamh. 17-10-2018 09:09 AM

No of course not, it's the last ever BB but I will be annoyed about it :oh:

Go vote!

(although as others have said whether VTE wins or not I think they will just switch to VTS anyway)

the producers already had a twitter poll and people wanted to keep VTE, so now they are asking the question again in an unregulated poll .... doesn't take a brain surgeon to know what the result is likely to be

yup, they should have just changed it and been upfront instead of treating us all like morons

Cherie 17-10-2018 09:16 AM

yep they are just going to change it anyway so I am not bothering.....

No

its basically inviting people to choose their winner now ... they may as well crown Lewis the winner on friday and be done with it.

Yep,that's why I didn't vote on it,no need to include him at all.

there is a valid reason for including it because a vote to save vastly improves lewis's chances of survival to the final. It's also interesting to see if the poll shows a preference for voting system based on the house mate that is supported

chuff me dizzy 17-10-2018 09:26 AM

It will stop me voting ,so they've lost money in one fell swoop ,you dont change rules half way through a series without youre up to something fishy
