i dont think it needs to be rested, it just needs to be on a channel that actually wants it and is committed to it. This series has shown that it can still be good.

I agree with people saying it needs a long overdue rest after 15 and 16 it should have been rested then as it was clear they didn't know what they were doing and ratings began to decline. If they had rested it after BB16 then it would have been off the screens for 3 years already and only 19 months away from a 5 year hiatus and a May 2020 launch. Channel 5 have rinsed it. |

A true BB fan :clap1:
Real ones recognise the show need a 5-10 year break! |
The argument that it needs a break is just false. It needs a mainstream audience and they havent watched big brother in years. So it being tired is just not an argument. It needs a channel capable of providing new viewers.
|
It needs a 3 year break but no more I honestly think it still has a lot of life in it. It certainly had more longevity than love island will have. I really don't see love island lasting 19 series as much as I like it it doesn't have the format to last that long. It's testament to how good bb actually is and the impact it has had worldwide as well as reality television as a whole. So as much as people rave about love island it pales in comparison really which is ironic as maybe it killed the big brother we have now. But bb isn't dead completely just watch when the love for Love island dies down and bb makes a return how truly alive it still is but yes it does need to rest a few years

I don't really think it needs to be rested either. It has woken up this series, and the tasks have been really good. If it has to be rested, it should not be for any more than just one series. Preferably not however, as you appear to not want as well |
I completely agree. It really only needs to be rested for one year and return in January 2020 with the support of a decent channel and a good production team. I would be happy to see Paul Osbourne return.

A two year break will suffice
