The 19-year-old blonde has been dating handsome Alex Neal for two years.

Before entering the house, Emily sent Alex a message to him on his website, fondly saying: "Love you lots. X."

But friends told last night how Alex, also 19, is worried their relationship will be damaged by her BB antics.

One pal revealed: "Emily and Alex are very close, but Alex is stressed out about being apart from her for three months.

"He's concerned about what might happen while Emily's in the house - she's obviously a very pretty girl."

Alex is used to exchanging internet messages with Emily under her MySpace name Vodka Wednesday.

On his website Alex, of Chepstow, Glos - a drummer in a rock band called The Fuselage - gushed: "How lucky am I that my hero is my lover."

But Emily, who is a student in Bristol, insisted to BB she was single.

One of Emily's old school friends commented: "I don't understand what's going on because I saw Emily and Alex in a club together last week and they were really happy together.

"Maybe she thought she'd have a better chance of getting on if programme makers thought she was a singleton.

"Alex is quiet but he thinks the world of Emily. He's a devoted boyfriend.

"In the past Emily has booted most of her boyfriends into touch after one week - so this a big scene for her.

"But she is desperate to be either a famous actress or really wealthy - whichever comes first - and she is ruthless in pursuit of her dream.

"Emily is so driven and so certain she will be a success many people find her intimidating, but it comes naturally to her. She is a really honest person but in the harshest way.

"All the blokes drool over Emily every time she sets foot in a club - and she takes full advantage of it.

"It's caused rows between her and the men she's dated.

"She's an exhibitionist. One minute she'll be talking and the next be half naked.

"Emily knows being in BB is her chance for fame and fortune. It is make or break."
