calling Lewis a ****ing ****

It's quite telling how there's very few threads (if at all) on Brooke referring to Lewis as a ****ing c * * t during last nights show, yet this place was overrun with people taking the moral high ground on what Lewis said about Sian - pearl clutching and faux outrage everywhere, so where's the outrage when Brooke said it about Lewis? Clearly it's fine for a woman to say it about a man - or rather a housemate they don't like, and to top it off she also said she hoped he would get evicted. Clearly one rule for some and another for others.

BBDodge 22-10-2018 09:54 AM

And yet later she asked Lewis if he wanted to have a chat which he declined.

Brooke and Lewis continue to have an attract/repel relationship (as did Lewis with Anamelia, Kay and Isabella).

Did she say it to hia face? I used to like Brooke, but she's really showing herself up lately.
Yes Lewis has no tact sometimes, but no one deserves to be called that word.

Ammi 22-10-2018 09:55 AM

..it’s the context as well though..(..I have no issue with the word itself over any other derogatory word..)...Lewis has no foundation or reason to name call or be dereogatory...In his head he had judged her to have the box and he had judged her to be nothing more than a dinner lady...Brooke used it referring to actual behaviour displayed...

Vanessa 22-10-2018 09:57 AM

There's no excuse. I don't like anyone using that word, including Lewis.

Epic. 22-10-2018 09:59 AM

That's not what happened. People didn't mind Brooke saying it, not because she's a woman, but because she thought Lewis was acting like a ****ing **** since he melted down over a bad haircut. Lewis said it about Sîan with no reason to, which makes him look more malicious. It's nothing to do with gender. He gave reason to be called that word, Sîan didn't

...exactly...Sian was termed that by Lewis for behaviour which was to take a big part in cooking meals for the housemates...

didn't y'all love when Marcus called David one in BB10? "That was different x"

joeysteele 22-10-2018 10:04 AM

It's either wrong to use it or not.
For me directly to someone is worse than when having a private chat with another.
Which is the case here for both Lewis and Brooke's use of it.

Lewis wasn't the only one who thought Sian had killer nommed him.
That's as much a just base for suspicion and dislike as Brooke as to Lewis's behaviour.

I hate the word but I hear it near every day in my work so am immune to it.

Brooke however at times is all over the place.
Especially towards Lewis.
It's hard to fathom out.

I’ve never understood the huge outrage that word causes tbh, to me it’s just another way of insulting someone.

Brooke was a howl last night

Its irrelevant imo. Its not a nice word used in whatever context and for whatever reason. Double standards on this forum as always. Lewis was slaughtered for using it..not for his reasons.

The funny thing is it was Brooke that had the meltdown..She jumped on Lewis for laughing WITH Cameron..she got all defensive and went OTT. He reacted to their ranting...if anyone was the **** it was Brooke.
Lewis used it against Sian because he thought she had Killer nominated him...no difference. It was an opinion on both parts but as usual its ok for anyone to do it but Lewis..

jaxie 22-10-2018 10:21 AM

Didn't see it so it can't have been much of a rant but I don't like the word or anyone using it. I think it is very derogatory to women. Have swung from liking to not liking Brooke much, not sure how I feel about her really. At least they showed it the main show rather than editing it out in her favour like they did for Lewis.

Exactly, Rustic. Context is beside the point. They're basically saying is it's fine for her but not for him. Double standards indeed.

I don't recall you being very bothered when Lewis was spouting it off. Aren't you showing double standards right now?

..he wasn’t ‘slaughtered’ by me for using the word..only criticised for the context ...and the same applies to Brooke, the context applied much more ....that’s not double standards, it’s consistancy ...

Did she, when was this, I honestly didnt see it...h:wavey: the remarks were on eviction night but I havent really noticed anyone being with him since then.

bots 22-10-2018 10:25 AM

we have been over the use of the word, it can be a term of endearment in some circumstances, but it can also be the worst possible slight. Brookes use of it, was still pretty unacceptable and doesn't say a lot about her.

I don't think Brooke is a particularly pleasant individual, there have been too many occasions now where she has behaved a bit iffy

and Zoe stirred the pot well and truly against Sian, it seems to me that it is a word used often, I do believe that Zoe used it as well? Horrible word no matter who says it and so is the F word but they are part of todays society and you can bet your bottom dollar that the so called elite use it as well. No excuses for anyone imo. I mean anyone, not just Lewis!

..then he shouldn’t have been so shallow and judgemental based on hearsay of what Zoe’s feelings of Sian were...someone told him that Sian had the box and he felt it ok to speak about them the way he did...not just with a derogatory descriptive but to refer to them as a ‘dinner lady’ in a scathing way...

The main show can only take so much as we know, they showed the whole episode on BOTS of Lewis' rant, this when he was up for eviction. Many of us watch BOTS and tbh I thought it unfair in view of the eviction. Many had time to make their own minds up but he still stayed top of the shop. Sian hasnt really touched the BOTS as she has been in the background too much. Maybe they are protecting her for a winner, who knows eh!!

The different is he deserved it the way he tore into her over the haircut, he has never even spoken to Sian and she had done nothing to him other than existing and doing a bit too much cooking for his liking
