Netflix and NowTV

Netflix could be just what it needs if it reboots the format with 24/7 "live" feeds and a choice of camera. I suppose any channel could deliver that through an app, but Netflix have the infrastructure to stream several BB live streams and integrate them into a special front end easily controllable on tv for 90% of likely viewers

I don't think the company is doing too well at the moment, so needs to grow and diversify. Something like BB takes another bite out of traditional TV in the same way Amazon are doing with sports rights. I can't see it would cost much either, not compared with producing proper shows

I can see it on Netflix being a back to basics/back to reality kind of reality tv, really playing on the Orwellian themes and increasing viewer interaction

Sky's NowTV platform could work too. They could even sell boxes branded with BB for like £20 which gave you full access to the live feed of the series and voting credits and whatnot. If daily highlights and evictions were on Sky Mix or whatever the free one is, that would be great too

We MUST stay positive, Jason. Netflix and their barge poles will be poking and penetrating Endemol as we speak, teeing up a Summer 2020 anniversary launch

"It's back...to the beginning...BB2O...Only on Netflix"

That's Marcus saying that btw

Now TV is the best choice tbh seeing as it covers so many channels plus has live tv and also has channels actually broadcast on freeview giving a crossover between online and "terrestrial" tv and therefor giving viewers a lot more freedom and can possibly reach a larger audience.

A NowTV BB Box. IT'll happen if Sky can win the rights over a clearly eager Netflix

It is! I actually think it's the purest form of the "social experiment" angle too

There's a weekly competition (physical, mental or endurance) to become Head of Household. That HoH nominates two people.

The HoH, two nominees and 3 people selected at random then play for the Power of Veto. The winner can choose to remove a nominee (and make the HoH name a new one) or leave them the same

The rest of the housemates vote to evict one of the two nominees

The winner is determined by a jury of the last 7 or 9 evictees

Why would Sky take it on NOW TV when it is a platform for making Sky Channels available , its not a channel in its own right. A Sky channel would need to take it on.

Netflix is doing very well, but why would they provide live feed? They have no reason to. They would just provide a highlight show

BBDodge 06-11-2018 08:57 AM

Live feed costs money. Whoever takes it would likely want to do it cheaper.

RileyH 06-11-2018 02:28 PM

Why though? You're just setting yourself up for disappointment
