Revamped Big Brother!!!

If Big Brother came back, sorry ( WHEN ) Big Brother comes back, what would you like the Changes to be to make it fresh and new again??

For them to cast Azealia Banks in cbb

Nicky91 06-11-2018 12:58 PM

just fun, positivity is what civilian BB needs

CBB however needs less EOTB/Love Island stars, but more real celebs such as Hulk Hogan that sort of stars :hee:

Have this at the start, with Emma saying:
"We're back" then a loud cheer

With the old Eatock style eye and BB titles running.

I'd like them to simply return to the original format which we haven't been able to see in 8 years.

The show succeeds or fails based on the housemates and the ability to follow what's going on with them. There's no need for some big format change.

I enjoy the format of BB and see nothing wrong with it as long as we can discern that production are actually making effort to give us the most exciting/dramatic/entertaining twists and tasks. BB19 had great tasks and ... decent ... character development so I think if more efforts were put forward not only to develop the characters in the house but to create an atmosphere whereby they are positioned as stark opponents to eachother (hence, treating them as chess-pieces with definable characteristics which make them easier to root for) I think that Big Brother can remain a social experiment whilst also increasing viewership through the competition element.

In BB6 we had two solid camps and each person within those camps had definable character traits which set them apart from others. The only other times we even got close to this caliber of character development was BB13 with the Insiders/Outsiders and on BB10, which was massively benefited by the fact that each housemate was so easily distinguishable from the others.

So to answer the question, I think casting needs to change. We want normal people, but we want INTERESTING normal people! Oldies, intellectuals, eccentrics!!!! Once that happens it will be easier for production to edit the show in a way that gives each housemate in there a solid "role". It also needs to like actually be advertised and not just broadcast on a whim under the assumption that people will watch "because it's Big Brother"

More freaks, less interference from producers.

No barely famous people, no recruits, live feed, a better quality of side show, no outside interference, longer series, there’s so much that can be done to make it better

Pleasedonotswear93 06-11-2018 01:27 PM

To answer my own question. I Personally would like a Week 13/14 week run of Civilian BB. Scrap the summer CBB. Have that in January’s and have one long Summer run of civilian BB like the C4 Days.

susie q 06-11-2018 01:39 PM

More diverse group of housemates, more older people and disabled people in civilian bb. Back to the 12 week run over summer, minimal contact from outside (except letters from home) interesting and more diverse tasks.

CBB 6weeks over the winter, otherwise the same as above.

I think it needs changing from top to bottom the format is just tired and dated now

May as well just create a new show if you're going to do that.

Captain.Remy 06-11-2018 01:47 PM

Same production as BB19 but different cast and 12 weeks.

* 10 week civilian series
* 4 week celebrity series once yearly
* No interference with the outside world at all
* Housemates must be people from the street, ie have never dated a celebrity
* Must move to a new location due to the restrictions at Elstree.
* New narrator as Marcus sounded too carried away in the C5 years
* Bring back outdoor interviews for the final, keep them in the studio for regular eviction shows though
* Finals back on a Friday night

Everyone seems to really be saying the same thing. Go back to the original format that was used back in the first few series on C4. Personally I want to go back to a house that isn't over the top decorated and designed.

Kazanne 06-11-2018 06:33 PM

Has CBB been cancelled aswell ?

Paul someone and Trever someone back as the production team, and make as much effort as they had with the last BB and CBB as every series, not just because its the last one.

Although make it slightly different as the BB format itself is a little dated and what we love about classic BB may not appeal to the mass audiences anymore.
