Free healthcare should be available to people who pay into the system
 

Absolutely disgusting you have to pay Taxes and NI yet still have to pay healthcare bills yet stubby little lazy people who bum off the social unwilling to work get everything for free

Free healthcare only works if it's free for all and what you are doing is basically targeting vulnerable parts of society to deny them basic rights based purelly on your own gargantuan ignorance.

The unemployed are not just a bunch of jobless layabouts abusing the system, most of them simply want to escape the vicious circle that is being reliant on benefits to survive and the humiliation the job centre and a country that views them as vermin for struggling but it's difficult.

You can't cheat a system that looks for any excuse it can, whether valid or not, to withold money that you're entitled to. I'd like to see people who think ignorant **** like that live on benefits for a while, I'd like to see them dancing to the tune of the Job Centre for a while and see how that changes their views.

I've had those experiences and now that I'm in gainful employment, I can't accept people looking down on the unemployed.

At the end of the day it should be free for everyone, if someone was dying but hadn’t paid their NI and tax I couldn’t really care less. They still should have the right to live.

Any other view is kind of barbaric.

The poorer amongst us need all the help they can get.

Yeah, I was a bit confused. You can choose to go private but we are all entitled to NHS..not sure what this is about

Not for Dental work which falls under healthcare

It always makes me smile to hear that the NHS is free. It is not free. We pay for it, through tax and NI. It's only free if you don't work and/or pay tax.

If the NHS wants to save money, start charging medical tourists, people coming from Nigeria to have a baby for example... they can come but they must pay. Also, start fining people for missing appointments.
