Anne - saying she had been treated as a failure all her life

A very genuine moment I felt, made even more poignant in that most of them have made her feel like a failure in camp as well by not pushing her to do more outside of her comfort zone

Crimson Dynamo 04-12-2018 08:24 AM

Yes my heart was filled when she revealed that she taunted and laughed at her sibling because she was making more money

such a lovely tale at this time of year..

A very genuine chance for a few more pity votes :bored:

I like Anne and did feel sorry for her when she revealed that, I do wish the campmates would stop their molly coddling of her though, but it was a nice tender moment and I do feel she was a little heartbroken by her past.

Most people, if not all, are failures in life until they are not. It's not something unique to Anne

I don't think that's necessarily true at all. There's people who have always done well at whatever they throw their hand at and there's people who weren't good at anything until they found one thing they were good at and became successful at that.

BBDodge 04-12-2018 09:31 AM

Anne's backstory is her only point of interest. It's reached the point where good campmates will go because of it.

Yeah and some people are just naturally more confident & successful whereas others are introverts and need a boost and probably feel self conscious at first .

:umm2:

 well maybe he taunted her all her life who knows, the bottom line is nothing has changed for Anne, people still think she can't do things, and I think her self esteem is so low she won't push herself for fear of failure

Crimson Dynamo 04-12-2018 09:37 AM

she has at least succeeded in exposing her character on her quiz show as an act I suppose

It was a nice moment and I felt sorry a bit for her too.
However, she doesn't sadly appear to mind being helped, looked after and things done for her.
She could halt that in an instant.

I have to laugh that she seems to do little around camp and hesitates or refuses trials.
Sitting or lying around a fair bit of the time.
Then though, once food or treats appear, she's up and running almost first in the queue for them.:joker:

I love hearing others stories of their lives however and I agree it had its sad elements to hers.

She said she has felt like a failure for most of her life. So glad she's on The Chase, to show everyone what an amazing and intelligent woman she is

 IAC is known to throw up shocks, if Anne lasts to the end and participates in the Cyclone thing it could all change...

Vanessa 04-12-2018 11:05 AM
