this is only the current state of knowledge

It's not possible for anything that "is" to be infinite. It can approximate to infinite but that's as far as it goes. For us, it really doesnt matter if something stretches 100 billion miles or 1000 billion miles :laugh:

And some people still believe that Earth is the only planet with life :omgno:

it's rather unlikely but we don't have a definite evidence either way yet so
