Eurovision: You Decide - Friday 8th February | BBC2 HD (UK SONGS REVEALED)

The six artists/three songs have been revealed:

Which one is your favourite based off first impressions? For me it's Kerrie-Anne, not keen on any of the others except for maybe Michael but that comes nowhere near close to Kerrie-Anne's song.

Nicky91 23-01-2019 11:33 AM

i'm not watching the show (i have more favourites in the voice of holland than here so not difficult for me to choose between this and the voice) :idc:

yeah but remember last year, you stanned asanda, and she didn't do well live so praying for kerrie now she can slay her song live

jury will decide first who wins the duels, and then the top 3 winners of each duel the public can vote for apparently

Kerri but it's more of the same genericness.

it doesn't really matter since UK is gonna come near last anyway as usual :laugh3: :laugh3:

but UK must keep participating in eurovision since they bring in the funds for EBU

Braden 23-01-2019 04:09 PM

Jesus Christ, these are ****e.

BBUK-Fan 23-01-2019 04:57 PM

No wonder we lose because they put this crap as a our potential representatives

_Tom_ 23-01-2019 05:01 PM

Kerrie-Anne with THE bop :clap1:

andybigbro 23-01-2019 05:26 PM

Don’t really get a Eurovision vibe from them.
Freaks probably more so and I prefer the girl groups version.

Kerrie-Annes video won’t play for me

RileyH 23-01-2019 05:31 PM

Omg Holly LEGEND we want her!

What is a Eurovision vibe? There isn't a typical sound anymore and that's why we struggle because we try for something that sounds Eurovision instead of trying to have a unique sound.

Shaun 23-01-2019 06:07 PM

1) Kerrie-Anne
2) Holly
3) Michael
4) Jordan
5) Anisa
6) MAID

Holly and Michael would have about the same chance as each other, but Kerrie-Anne's is the only song I'd listen to out of choice.

I think it's the complete opposite. We try too hard to find generic pop stars that would compete in today's music industry, but end up with the dregs (with all due respect) that desperately need to use this as a platform to launch their careers.

There's nothing special or unique about these songs, and all of these performers seem to fit a mould of what BBC thinks young/trendy people would like. Every act that wins Eurovision has something special and unique about them that the BBC is tone deaf to. Like, every single You Decide entry could be moulded into one competition and they'd still all be missing the mark of what eurovision is about. Fun and uniqueness. We just have no idea anymore and try to take it too seriously. Eurovision has evolved with time but its criteria of what makes a good entry still remains.

ethanjames 23-01-2019 06:14 PM

kerrie

Headie 24-01-2019 09:08 PM

Apparently the jury picks one of each song to go through to the final round and then the public vote which of the three they want to represent the UK.

In other words we're gonna end up with Jordan's version of Freaks.

Firewire 24-01-2019 09:09 PM

I think Holly would give us the best chance but Kerrie-Anne's is the best song
