Do you enjoy your Job?

I work at Sainsbury's and for the most part, I like it. Although there's been several occasions where I couldn't stand it and felt like quitting.

Tom4784 31-01-2019 03:35 PM

I enjoy working with the people I work with, the work itself is meh.

Cherie 31-01-2019 03:39 PM

Mostly, that's not to say if I had a substantial cash injection from somewhere I wouldn't be handing in my notice asap

Crimson Dynamo 31-01-2019 03:40 PM

yes, love it

AnnieK 31-01-2019 03:44 PM

Most days I love it....some days (today) not so much.

I feel like the yes and no options are both a bit extreme in this poll :suspect:

Most of the time I like it and I'm grateful for the experiences it's given me and the people I've met through it but it's definitely got it's downsides

Work at Boots full time as a customer assistant (on a gap year before I head off to uni in September!). I enjoy it most of the time and love my colleagues, however (and it sounds a bit daft because I work in retail) but I do feel like I have a LOT asked of me compared to some of my other colleagues. There really isn’t enough hours in the day sometimes for me to complete everything asked of me.

Babayaro. 31-01-2019 05:33 PM

I love my job

Prob because you are the new boy? Last one into the job generally gets put upon as the existing staff know how to swerve the horrible jobs

It just seems unfair I have to stock monitor, get delivery in/put delivery out, date check, rebuild displays, put sales tickets out all while being mithered constantly by customers/having to jump on the till. Like you say maybe because I’m the new boy. I know some of the staff (especially one colleague) uses excuses such as dyslexia/anxiety to get out of doing some tasks (she’s lovely and I feel bad for calling her, but it just all seems a little too convenient. It seems an excuse so she can just stay on tills all day but get the same hourly rate as myself)

thisisdanny 31-01-2019 05:51 PM

August-December yes
January-July no

Kazanne 31-01-2019 06:48 PM

Yes I love it. I'm a teaching assistant at a special needs school, some lovely kids with heartbreaking stories.

Strictly Jake 31-01-2019 06:52 PM

I hate my job. Cleaning up after like a thousand university students skid marks in the toilets at 6am is pretty rubbish. But it fits around my lifestyle and I'm home in an afternoon I like that part.

I recently moved to the behaviour school, and it's knackering but more rewarding (and entertaining!) than mainstream.

mmmm, its only for a year so just stick with it, but if it is really bothering you, you could ask your manager why the work isn't divvyed up a bit more fairly, sometimes if you are too good at your job it doesn't work in your favour unfortunately as you will just get loaded with more and more
