What are your thoughts on the recently rebooted series like Charmed And Sabrina

I personally loved Sabrina and it looked great but Charmed looked so cheap and the dialogue was laughable.

I'm quietly dreading the re-boot of Buffy The Vampire Slayer :/ Waiting to see if my fav tv show of all time is about to be raped in the bum just like Charmed was is giving me piles.

I usually love darker versions but I just can't get into the Sabrina one. It's well made but something about it, I just get bored watching it.

The Charmed one I've only seen bits of, quite laughable tbh. I remember the original was always criticised for copying Buffy, I'd say this reboot is more of a Buffy rip-off. It even has a Giles figure. The original Charmed wasn't exactly great, but the lead actresses were great. These new ones are terrible.

I agree with Marsh about Sabrina; it seems technically well made and acted but we watched like 2 episodes and got bored. It feels flat.

Charmed... Err... The original was so daft and cheap it's hard to imagine the reboot being worse :joker:.

Buffy though :bawling:. A sequel would have been acceptible. A reboot is shameful :nono:

I thought the new Sabrina character was an unlikeable tit, so I never wated E2.

I thought Sabrina was cute but you can defiantly tell its by the same creators as Riverdale

Tbh only Charmed needed to be remade imo as the original show was terrible.

The only major thing that a Buffy remake could fix is Buffy the character in her romances being dire.

And Sabrina just sounds like a strange idea imo.

Technically it is. From what I've read it's following a new Slayer, not a "new Buffy".

I think that's the problem. You look at the original like "Ooh, ropey effects but it's 1998" the episode I watched of the new one literally had the same standard of special effect. Like, it's 2019!!!

I get what people are saying about Sabrina i first watched episode 1 a few months back and thought it was boring so switched off plus thought the new actress playing the lead role was unlikeable/dull but i think it was because i went into it with expectations. I decided to give it another go and ended up binge watching the entire thing in a week :) also think the new actress is perfect for the role now.

This was after i had just finished watching the Charmed reboot though so anything would seem Oscar worthy next to that.
