Thatcher Statue will not go in London

It goes to Grantham
I am sure if someone wants to Smash her head off
they will go to her home town.

And maybe film it.

Livia 06-02-2019 11:50 AM

Put it up in London and stop pandering to people's threats. If someone vandalises it, arrest them.

I bet if people were asked and they answered truthfully, not as many people have a problem with it. It's the noisy minority willing to smash down what it doesn't agree with.

Not particularly, no. But she was the first female PM and had bigger balls than any of the men in her cabinet. We have a statue of Oliver Cromwell outside Parliament that no Irish people seem to have complained about .

Watched that film, more on that later! x

I'm not complaining about any of your statues? I just asked a question.

So no, I don't agree with loads of the stuff she did, but I wouldn't call myself a supporter. I mention Oliver Cromwell just to show we have statues of all kinds of odious people, I can't believe Thatcher was the worst of the lot.

Kazanne 06-02-2019 12:10 PM

It should go up in London, she was the first woman PM and did a lot of good aswell as stuff some don't agree with, but every statue ever erected will have someone who was never perfect, people need to stop being so faux upset about everything,it wont ruin anyones life if her statue is there, she deserves it as much as anyone, and if the immature in society want to vandalise it that says so much more about them,Maggie was trail blazer and she should be remembered as such, as Livia said she had bigger balls than any man that's been in power.

Like or hate her - Thatcher (as Livia said) had balls. She made decisions and pretty much stood by them - far more than the shower of politicians we have now.

Bit like Trump then :p

Cherie 06-02-2019 12:30 PM

Whatever her legacy, as the first female Prime Minister her statue should be in Westminster and Grantham

Marsh. 06-02-2019 12:36 PM

Burn it! Like the witch she is!

Thatcher was one of the best prime ministers ever, and a woman, hence why she got a state funeral. Not everyone agreed with her for sure, but she single handedly brought this country back from general strikes. Yes, she went too far, thats always the way in these things, but no-one has deserved a statue more than her in my life time.

Tom4784 06-02-2019 02:41 PM

They should put it in her resting place, the deepest pits of Hell.

Matthew. 06-02-2019 02:43 PM

Probably for the best

Is she the milk lady

Underscore 06-02-2019 02:54 PM

Am defo not a fan of Thatcher but she was the first woman PM and therefore should be in Westminster Square

Marsh. 06-02-2019 03:03 PM

The fact that the only thing people can say about her is "she was a woman" speaks volumes.

Glenda Jackson spoke the truth about that.

UserSince2005 06-02-2019 05:06 PM

put it up in doncaster hehe. a giant one, like a Buddha statue
