[WWE Raw comes to Netflix from 2025 in huge deal] [WWE Raw - pro-wrestling's most popular weekly show - will only be available on Netflix from next year. The programme has been shown on broadcast TV around the world for 31 years. But bosses of TKO - the company formed when WWE merged with UFC - have announced that Raw will be exclusive to streaming from next January. Viewers outside the US will also be able to watch all weekly WWE shows and live events on the service. The company said that would include pay-per-view specials including WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble. It said the deal would affect fans in the USA, Canada, UK and Latin America first, before being expanded to other countries later. WWE Raw is usually broadcast live, has aired 1,600 episodes since it first launched and is a must-watch for fans looking to keep up with the latest wrestling storylines. Bosses claim it brings in 17.5m viewers each week in the US, and that WWE boasts 1 billion followers across various social media platforms. Nick Khan, WWE President, said: "We believe Netflix, as one of the world's leading entertainment brands, is the ideal long-term home for Raw's live, loyal, and ever-growing fan base."] https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-68070411 |

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has officially joined the TKO board of directors. The wrestling legend turned Hollywood actor is now in a major position of power with a seat at the table of TKO, the company created as part of Endeavor’s deal to merge WWE and UFC under one umbrella. In a press release, TKO said the move, which is ‘effective today’, sees The Rock bring ‘decades of experience in live entertainment and sports to the Board’. I still need to catch up with the Rumble. Well I've seen the women's, and was happy enough with the winner. Wanted THE MANN to win, but I like (spoiler) well enough.

Night 1 of Wrestlemania 40 was fantastic. Very much looking forward to tonight now!

If you have time please post some results for tonight |
Quote:
Night 1 Results: 1. Rhea Ripley defeated Becky Lynch to retain the Women's Championship. Brilliant, long match. 2. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller won the SD! Tag Team Titles whilst R-Truth & The Miz won the RAW equivalent in the Six Pack Ladder Match. Great match. Very happy that the tag title are split once again and it was wonderful to see Truth get "his Wrestlemania moment" by capturing the titles hanging above the ring at the very end. 3. Rey Mysterio & Andrade defeated "Dirty Dom" & Santos Escobar. Both LWO and LDF brawled and two masked NFL players (one being Taylor Swift's boyfriend's brother) helped assist with the win. 4. Jey Uso defeated Jimmy Uso. Match was okay. Pretty much what you'd expect really. No interferences or twists for once. 5. Bianca Belair, Naomi & Jade Cargill defeated Damage CTRL when Jade pinned Dakota Kai after a Glam Slam (or whatever she calls it). Good tag match. 6. Sami Zayn defeated Gunther to win the Intercontinental Championship in a really FANTASTIC match. Lots of storytelling. 7. Roman Reigns & The Rock defeated Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins when The Rock pinned Cody after a "People's Elbow". Slow match to start but the last 30 minutes or so were excellent. The Rock is fantastic as this obnoxious "final boss" heel. Roman vs. Cody's title match tonight will now be under "Bloodline Rules". Expect LOTS of twists, turns and interferences. |
So hyped for this!!
|
Night 2 card:
1. Seth Rollins vs. Drew Mcintyre for the World Heavyweight Championship 2. The Pride (Bobby Lashley/Street Profits) vs. The Final Testament (Karrion Kross/AoP) in a 6-man Philadelphia Street Fight 3. LA Knight vs. AJ Styles 4. Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens - Triple threat match for the United States Championship 5. Iyo Sky vs. Bayley for the Women's Championship 6. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Universal Championship - Bloodline Rules! |
