It's a documentary about an expiriment in the 50s where twins of mentally Ill mothers were separated at birth to see if mental illness was hereditary...and triplets, which is the story that triggered the expose..

I don't want to give to much away because of the way it turns and twists..so I will just suggest people watch it...2 hours long and all remaining mothers doctors are interviewed.

Oh I saw this being advertised and was saying to Gav we should watch it, he seems to think that he'd heard of it before though and there was no proof that it was even real? I know nothing about it though, will probably give it a watch anyway

So I watched it last night

Spoiler:

I found it very sad, the two remaining triplets seemed so sad. What an horrific thing to do with twins/triplets though, experimenting on children like that

Also, I found that old lady and other guy who was involved in the study really blasé about the whole thing and the damage they did, playing with peoples lives like that

Crazy that they were Jews who survied the holocaust...that was one thing I couldn't get my head around.

I know, after what they would have seen and went through at the hands of the Nazis you would think they would know better.

...I just watched this...how quickly it went from being an uplifting/reunited type story into something much more sinister...such an incredible story filled with happiness, yeah...but so much sadness as well...a really recommended watch...

Looks really interesting, although parms posts sort of gave away the twist, but I'll definitely give it a watch later.

...one of the things that I thought with this...in regards to being holocaust survivors but being involved in child experiments like that...the conclusion wasn’t that it was a mental health experiment because obviously nothing was published...but a child holocaust survivor themselves/...well an adult one as well...would surely also often suffer life long mental health issues as well...even a psychologist would...so many psychologists do what they do because of their own personal life experiences...just so many layers, maybe....and something that’s so hard for us to fathom...maybe they were ‘programmed’ to ‘detach’../..I don’t know, just thoughts....
