Will May quit if her deal is voted down again next week?

Theresa to stand down by the end of next week if Meaningful Vote three is rejected?

Edit:MV3 not MN3.Stupid thumb.

Scarlett. 22-03-2019 12:11 PM

I think she'll hold on to power as long as possible

bots 22-03-2019 12:15 PM

i think she will hang around to force a no deal if her deal ends up being refused to be re-voted on or is rejected. After that she will go

pretty much, which is why suddenly the EU are finding it difficult to deal with her now, and considering they had no issues up until her statement where she quite rightly threw her MPs under the bus andthey realised she will trigger no deal

Scarlett. 22-03-2019 12:25 PM

She is the most reckless and power hungry Prime Minister our parliament has ever seen, she makes Margaret Thatcher look like a teddy bear.

Northern Monkey 22-03-2019 12:26 PM

I think she will quit.
She’s already very frustrated as we saw from her speech.
Getting Brexit through is her reason for living.

If MV3 is defeated then i think Brexit will be finished. We only have until April 12th.
In the urgency,
I think Parliament will table votes on the options and Brexit very possibly won’t happen.

smudgie 22-03-2019 12:34 PM

I have no idea.
I think she would stay until Brexit is sorted.
Then she can retire on a lovely pension.:hehe:

the amusing thing is that if May goes, it will be Boris or Rees-mog that takes over, and you can bet they have no trouble forcing no deal

MTVN 22-03-2019 12:43 PM

I bet a lot of Tories are kicking themselves they put in their no confidence letters too early as I think she'd lose a vote if she had one now

I still don't think she'll resign though, I can see her uniting for Labour for a softer Brexit instead. It will go down terribly in the Tory party but there's not much they can do about it

Crimson Dynamo 22-03-2019 12:48 PM

Gove to replace her and steer us towards a bright no deal future?

Gove, Boris, Rees-mog ... all will be tougher than May, people should be careful what they wish for

Tom4784 22-03-2019 01:04 PM

She'll do as she said before, I expect. She'll see through Brexit and then resign.

If leavers want a brexit, they better hope the MPs vote for this deal, I think Article 50 will be cancelled before we leave with no deal.

I can't see MPs cancelling Article 50, I think they would rather no deal as they can say they carried out the will of the people even if it is not what they personally wanted

Beso 22-03-2019 01:17 PM

Unemployment is at its lowest since 1974...I hope she stays around.

chuff me dizzy 22-03-2019 03:07 PM

I feel sorry for her, she had to sort out something Cameron started then walked away from, she was never strong enough to get a clean Brexit, we needed Rees Mogg or Boris to get us what WE need

They're both ****ing morons, Boris turn and ran as soon as he got what he wanted and Rees Moggs is a dangerous hypocrite. They both need to stay away from 10 Downing Street.

In YOUR opinion, not mine and not a fact

The Slim Reaper 22-03-2019 03:16 PM

Brexiters: Remain is what the elites want

Also brexiters: We need Lord Rees-Mogg and a guy related to most of the European royal families to save us.

Even if it's not one of them that took the leadership, it will be someone similar. People can disagree with May, but she has been balanced in her handling of the deal, and tried to be straight with the British people. It's not her fault that taking a pragmatic approach has left her open to both leave and remain attack, Labour/ Corbyn have been pretty atrocious.

I just want to be clear that I can't stand May, but I do think she is trying to do right by the country, something that many in the HoC are not doing

I don't think May is trying to do right by the country at all, countless times she's just ran down the clock and wasted time trying to force her stupid deal over and over. Labour and Corbyn are pretty bad, but May and the ERG Party are worse, the old Tories are dead and gone, the era of the sensible Conservatives is gone, all that's left is crackpots and cartoon villians like Pob and Rees Mug

reece(: 22-03-2019 03:48 PM

Don't see her quitting especially after her "speech to the public", she's desperate to cling onto the power

reece(: 22-03-2019 03:49 PM

Bring forth Amber Rudd :fan:

:clap2:

She'll have to be removed, the only way is a no-confidence vote initiated by the opposition

joeysteele 22-03-2019 06:20 PM

No.

She seems deluded and incapable of listening to anyone.
They'll need to force this one out.

No matter what, I believe history will record her as the most uncompromising, divisive and worst Prime Minister the UK has likely ever had.
