Smirking driver records himself braking deliberately to make cyclist crash into him

Jail this psychopath immediately, he is clearly dangerous. Playing with peoples lives as if they're toys

Quote:

A driver brazenly filmed the moment he slammed on the brakes, throwing an innocent cyclist into the back of his car. The footage starts with the smirking driver spotting the cyclist travelling along a pavement at speed before he veers into the road behind his car. He grins again for the camera before moving his phone so you can see the cyclist directly behind him.
With his phone still gripped in his hand filming the cyclist he suddenly slams on the brakes.
The cyclist, who is not wearing a helmet and appears to be close behind the car, crashes into the rear window, smashing the glass. He somehow manages to stay upright but looks to be in serious shock as he brushes glass out of his hair and touches his lip.

He should be taken off the road and sent to prison

Beso 22-03-2019 02:37 PM

I hate people like this, what an absolute turd of a person..laughing away like some hysterical hyena..he should never be allowed to drive again with a brain that works like that.

Oliver_W 22-03-2019 02:37 PM

While cyclists really are ****ing annoying, this guy is a twat

Nancy. 22-03-2019 02:39 PM

People like that shouldn't be allowed on the roads.
Anyone know what happened next? Has he been charged?

We don't know yet Nancy. I'm assuming that the police are looking for him.

I'd like to imagine the cyclist beat the **** out of that psycho afterwards. I know for sure that's what I'd be doing

As much as everyone hates cyclists. This is too far.

thesheriff443 22-03-2019 04:03 PM

He should be put in prison, it’s a deliberate act.

Elliot 22-03-2019 04:42 PM

Lock it up and throw away the key

UserSince2005 22-03-2019 04:56 PM

jesus, i hate cyclists but that is too far.
living in london, cyclists are the most disrespectful and dangerous people on the road.
but yes, this is going too far.

bots 22-03-2019 05:26 PM

I would suggest its not dissimilar to deliberately driving into a cyclist/pedestrian and should be treated the same

armand.kay 22-03-2019 07:33 PM

social media really has people out here snitching on themselves

Marsh. 22-03-2019 07:33 PM

This is LT after getting a ban on TiBB.

He thought it was Kizzy on her bike.

Amy Jade 22-03-2019 07:51 PM

This is evil, the cyclist could have easily been killed.

I pray they find the guy who did it and jail him and give him a lengthy ban that starts when he comes out of prison. Scumbag.

How is it cyclists are so evil in the first place? I would argue that bad cyclists are fewer than bad drivers. But sure, let's hate on the people participating in active transit, healthy activity, and reducing their carbon footprint.

I don't actively hate cyclists but a few months ago me and a few friends drove to London for the weekend and I will say the cyclists were actually scary, two almost caused accidents and one was so close behind me if I had to have slammed on for any reason he would have been hurt, he was probably within reaching distance at some points.

Not saying there aren't bad and good on bikes and cars but London is so bad I wouldn't want to drive again. Go on the train.

It may he different in Canada but here, cyclists weave in and out of traffic without much regard for anyone else. Rush hour in the cities can be a nightmare. Many don't stop for traffic lights and will hop on and off pavements risking pedestrian safety. Not all.obviously, but enough to give them a bad rap. We have many cycle lanes on the routes into Manchester but many cyclists ignore them becoming a hazard to traffic.

Toy Soldier 22-03-2019 09:29 PM

He could have literally killed him :umm2:... what a daft thing to do.

--however---- (heh...) --- Having just watched the video, cycling on the pavement at the speed he was is ALSO not legal and highly dangerous (pedestrians can be and have been killed after being hit by bikes). Not entirely relevant to what happened here as he was on the road as he should have been when this happened, but still, worth pointing out that it's extremely unsafe and illegal. Usually if you're going slow or just scooting along the police won't bother or will just have a word and tell you not to do it (though technically you can get a small on-the-spot fine), but going along at speed like this could be classed as "dangerous cycling" (yes, it's a thing!) and get you a bigger fine. Also if you do hit or injure someone you can get prison time.

JerseyWins 22-03-2019 09:59 PM

:umm2: What is wrong with this guy?

People get road rage and stuff for the littlest reasons. :skull: Although this just seems like a psychopath, not even road rage..

Also, I don't see too many people on bikes in NJ but when I do I don't see them going too crazy on the roads. There's definitely more in New York... when I've drove in NY they still don't bother me that much though (I just don't like all the traffic and chaos in general on the roads over there but I don't notice the cyclists specifically getting too out of hand). Maybe more people ride their bikes carelessly over there in the UK

Oh where to start.I’ve seen some cyclists do some stupid ****.

They’re a danger to themselves more than anyone but i once ended up driving an old lady to hospital after a cyclist ran into her then fecked off.Looked as if she’d broken her wrist and hurt her back. She was up and walking but didn’t want an ambulance.

I’ve seen one swerve out in front of a car and then start punching the car window after he got beeped at.

I saw another who’d not stopped at a junction and got knocked off with no helmet on.His whole head red with blood.

Not to mention. No insurance when they scratch your car up or knock your wing mirror off.
No way of identifying them.

They can be annoying.
(Not all of them obvs).

That’s no excuse for what this maniac did.Very dangerous.
