I'll be visiting my mum's bench and wishing she were here to be spoiled. Treat your mum's guys, only when you lose them do you realise just how much you need them

Happy mother’s day to all.
Happy and loving memories for those whose mothers have passed.

My son’s girlfriend is back to California on Saturday so I received flowers and a present on Friday night, we had takeaway to celebrate.
Probably see son if he is around.
Daughter isn’t home until Easter, so will get present then, was getting flowers for Sunday but asked her not to send any as the future daughter in law has gone flowercrazy:laugh:

So excited that son is settling down at last.....even though he will be moving to America.:cheer2:

That's nice that she has a bench though, is it somewhere that she liked to go or what?

That's bitter sweet Annie, my biological mom has passed, but I never really knew her,but I do consider my stepmom my mom as she is the one that cares and loves us,I can't imagine being without her,the bench sounds lovely,i also like the dedicated trees,I am sure your mom is with you in spirit xx

Its actually just in the corner of the huge back garden at my Dad's house. She loved that garden and spent hours out there. Its under a gorgeous blossom tree that is always in flower around Mother's day and so just a nice place to sit....I rarely sit there any other time - I think about her many times a day anyway but on Mother's Day I feel I should go somewhere sort of dedicated.

Marsh. 28-03-2019 10:43 AM

We shall see if she's been a good girl. :nono:

aw thats great Smudge, do you think you will be able to visit him there at all?

Livia 28-03-2019 11:14 AM

I'm doing Sunday lunch for my wonderful Mum, and my wonderful Grandmother. And everyone else... but they're the guests of honour. My Mum will try to take over the cooking of course...

Smudgie, Mother's day is 12th May in the USA this year, so now you can expect TWO mother's days every year!

No, not fit to travel nowadays Cherie.
But we will see plenty of them.
At the minute he has 90 days there, then for the rest of the year they see each other for approx 2 weeks out of 4, either here or holidaying across the world.
Once married and he lives in America we will probably see them 3 or 4 times a year.
Couldn’t be happier, she is a lovely girl.

oh that's lovely though, I would much rather remember someone like that where they lived and loved than a grave yard
