Police are asking for witnesses after 4 random people travelling alone were stabbed from behind from who they believe is the same person

[A major manhunt is under way after a knifeman stabbed four people
in the back at random in north London.
Two of the victims are said by police to be
in a critical condition, while the other two were described as stable.
Police are scouring the Edmonton area for the single male attacker,

I'm curious as to how the police know/think it's one person instead of London being London.

Because it's all with in the short distance of time and stacked in a similar fashion

because they were all stabbed in the back and I would imagine they have CCTV footage
