:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Why bitch at Lesley? She is a super bitch :mad:

How do you hate someone you don't know.... do you mean dislike?

JuicyLucy 07-06-2007 09:12 PM

No I hate her, I don't have to know her to take a major dislike to her.

Of course you can hate someone you don't know. I hate Hitler. I didn't know him. 'Hate' is a subjective word thrown around loosely. It is clear that no-one 'hates' Charley, just intensely dislikes her. Using the word 'hate' in this cntext, is almost colloquial.

I am not a fan of Charley at all as many people know...BUT I do think she was in the right then. I mean Lesley had no right to say that and Charley had every right to confront Lesley about it.

Mike 07-06-2007 09:16 PM

She could have easily gone behind Lesley's back and bitched about her but no she did it face to face, not a massive fan of her personally but at least she speaks her mind.

But is it a word we should throw around loosely. There is a thread in the serious debates section you might like to comment on with a reply.

Why did she go on saying "drop it" when she was the one clearly going on about it (in the Emily situation)

GiRTh 08-06-2007 10:19 AM

I knew this one would come up.

As a black man I think Charley behaved impeccably during the incident. SHe was more offended than she let on. Trust me I've been there. And she knew that Emiy was in deep trouble - Charley was pacing up and down. She definitely knew the gravity of Emily saying this word. She kept saying drop it becasue she didn't want to face the reality of what she knew was going to happen. I can't speak for Charley but I'm sure that if she was in a club and a white girl said that to her, there would be serious trouble. I thought Charley handled the incident very well.

To be honest she is quite entertaing espeically when there's arguging involved she gets right into it and fires everything up. I'm not over keen on her but she's not the worst in there...

girth - I agree with u, although i dislike her however my partner is black and if he had been called that whether he was on tv or not he would of gone mad!

natjake2504 08-06-2007 02:13 PM

i am white and i think the way charley took that was brilliant, That word is an awful word and i would never think of using it. I have black cousins now they just laughed but some people might not of.

indeed. I'm quite chilled about that word, I grew up hearing it all the time, but black friends I have would have smacked her before she'd even finished the sentence.
