Re title - are they bringing Luke back as well as the Emperor? Or does Skywalker mean Kylo?

Luke Skywalker dies?

Either Palpatine is back or Luke becomes the new Emperor. Whichever it is, hopefully they will somehow kill Rei and the other two and we start anew.

Meh, I've got a feeling that this one's gonna be a giant retcon of TLJ because of all the sexist babies crying about how female characters were front and centre in that film.

It's kinda killed my interest in the franchise if that's the case. I don't care for people who cave into pressure to change their creations to suit cretins that are mad because the main character is a woman.

Were people even moaning about that? Everyone loves Leia, everyone likes Padme.

I didn't like TLJ, but not for that. I don't like being lumped in with saddoes who bitch about that sort of thing haha

I'm not saying that everyone who didn't like TLJ hated it for that reason, I'm just saying they were a vocal majority that impacted Solo to the point that Disney are listening to them.

Also did anyone really like Padme? Both her and Anakin in the prequels were woeful. Leia is amazing obvi but she was never the main focus in any of the films.

Are they though? Rey still looks like the main character, and still seems to be overpowered, so what makes you think Disney are making changes to appease the man babies?


I think so? I've not heard of anyone actively disliking her, I think the consensus is that she's fine.

The trailer and title, if not necessarily the film itself, do seem like a bit of an apology for Episode 8.
