Easter decorations.

Does anybody here go all out for Easter, tree or blossom decorated for Easter etc.
I always done little bits when the kids were little, still buy them eggs even though they are big kids now, but they couldn’t have them as youngsters due to lactose intolerance.
Anyhow, I have fancied a nice blossom branch or similar, hanging with a few eggs, chicks etc for years.
Taken the plunge today, my future daughter-in-law is bringing her two year old over with her from America next week, so I thought it would be a great way to make my grandchild to be feel welcome.
Full on cuddly Easter bunny and little bubble machine......break the ice with her.

No we don't decorate for Easter, though I think doing that when you have smallies visiting is a lovely idea Smudge

it can look so cute!

montblanc 14-04-2019 05:17 PM

we are thinking about trying to do an easter “egg” hunt with our dog using dog treats though

Nah, have never heard of anyone decorating for Easter either! I imagine you can get some nice stuff to do it like.

The extent of our Easter 'celebrations' is a Sunday Roast and hiding small chocolate eggs round the house, then sitting back and listening for screaming and shouting, placing bets on which child will come in with a bust nose

First time I heard about it, or actually witnessed it was when a friend I knew decorated a blossom branch with little eggs etc, her mum was from Switzerland, don’t know if that had anything to do with it.
But all the big shops sell the trees or branches now, and the decorations.
Been wanting to do it for years but my kids are both grown ups now, so this is a good excuse for me to have a go this year.

I have Kaz.
Cheap as chips from Amazon.
You get a dozen little eggs, all bright colours with lovely little rabbits, hens and spring scenes on them. All for a tenner.

No i don't all i've bought is a huge chocolate Bennett the Bunny for my daughter and thats it.

Keep them busy this holiday.

Everyone's going to have a lovely Easter at yours, Smudgie. It's Pesach, or Passover for us, and although we don't decorate we bring in lots of spring flowers and eat too much.
