No.
Have you just eaten a big meal followed by a full tin of chocolates.
Check your monitor isn’t broke.:joker:
Then check your pulse to see if you are still with us.:joker:

Beso 19-06-2019 10:32 AM

I tested mine and was pleasantly surprised at how painless It was to begin with and that mine was bang on...that surprised me cause I've been munching lots of sweets lately.

Nicky91 19-06-2019 10:53 AM

gave my blood few times when i was 8, and then once more when i was 13

but i really have a dislike for needles, really scared of them :worry:

Vanessa 19-06-2019 10:59 AM

Josy 19-06-2019 06:40 PM

Mine is tested at regular intervals by my nurse because I have hypoglycemia

Vanessa 19-06-2019 06:44 PM

I haven't, but I don't really eat sweets. I prefer savoury food.

Denver 19-06-2019 06:47 PM

I have my bloods taken every 6 months just incase because you can develop things quickly

Vicky. 19-06-2019 07:04 PM

Last time I had mine done it was like..3.5. Its always always low, I used to check it all the time on my grandmas machine thing..she was always baffled, as I eat so much sugar..all ay I drink tea with 2 tsp sugar, I eat a lot of chocolate, fruit..sugary stuff in general. Hers was always like..12 even when she avoided sugar as much as possible and she was trying to get it down so I think she hated me a bit

I borrowed a diabetics one...I just pressed a button and a tiny little needle pricked my skin on my thumb...he tried telling me it had to be done on the penis but I found my reading glasses he had hidden and read the box.:fist:..I was exactly where I had to be..

smudgie 19-06-2019 07:35 PM

Eating sweets and having sugar in your tea should not be too bad.
It’s only diabetics that need to be careful because the pancreas are doff.
A big meal can raise your sugar more than a bar of chocolate to be honest.

Vanessa 19-06-2019 07:37 PM

Yeah, I think it's better not to eat too much. I try not to.
