The theme music they played at the start/end of every ep honestly gives me chills :flutter:

It reminds me of another show but I can't for the life of me think what (other than the obvious ones like Black Mirror etc.)

Also I screamed when Celeste slipped into patois when she was yelling up to Bethany that she was gonna take all the electric stuff away :laugh:

I thought this too. It’s very BBC drama though - like I get Miracle Day/Children of Earth vibes but I’m not sure if that’s just because if the casting or the pacing as I haven’t watched them in so long. I mean you know it’s BBC when most main actors have appeared in Doctor Who in some quantity lmao

russel t davies is a god when it comes to writing

I'm an avid Russell T Davies fan, and have enjoyed everything he's written/produced and this is no exception.

Such a clever, timely series. Not that I think everything in the show is realistic, but there's such a greatness to Davies' storytelling that suits what is going on politically rn. I also love his portrayal of family dynamics, general creativity, and all the past Doctor Who/Cucumber actors who make an appearance.

Also agree with @Hayden that the intro/outro track is super engaging, haha.

Good job it's one of those 1 series shows as it would be a shame for more potential series to be axed

It reminds me of Doctor Who with all the "end of the world" stuff and Murray Gold's music.

It's reminiscent of Tennant-era Who certainly.

Yeah I was thinking the apocalyptic eps of Doctor Who/Torchwood but then I didn't know if that was just down to most of the actors being in Doctor Who before like Blurryface said :laugh:

I wonder how they got Emma Thompson to do television.

She always came across as someone who isnt snobby about TV and would do the right project for her unlike a lot of other major names
