How do you make cheese on Toast?

My way is grill one side then turn it over put a small amount of BBQ sauce, Add the cheese then top with Tomato and Res Onion and cook till it's done.

What about you?

Toast the bread on ‘1’ setting. Butter. Add some diced tomato. Grate cheese over (melts more evenly, goes golden and bubbly quicker). Under the grill until the cheese has melted and has patches of golden brown. Then a small drizzle of BBQ sauce (enough to taste it but not to drown out the other flavours).

I put cheese between two slices of bread and put it in the panini press for a few minutes.

Bread in the toaster, cheese in the microave. How do you have so much spare time for all that?!

Shaun 08-06-2019 08:03 PM

Cheese on Toast is for people without the sense to make a grilled cheese instead.

I have these microwaveable bag things where you put the cheese/onion/tomato/whatever between two pieces of bread like a sandwich, stick the sandwich in the bag and toast it.

Come out toasted and all the cheese melted in the middle. Lush!

Toast the bread, when it’s toasted spread some mustard on it, put the grated cheese on, splash some worcestershire sauce over it then bang it under the grill until brown and oozey:drool:

Toast both sides of the bread.
Spread with grated cheddar, cook until bubbling.
Sprinkle the WS on it, add sliced cold tomato.

Roasted/toasted cheese - toast the bread under the grill on one side, take it out turn it over add cheese and any other topping put it back under the grill until cheese is melted

Cheese toastie - cheese and any other filling between 2 slices of bread then put in the panini press or toastie maker

Cheese on toast - 2 slices of toasted bread with cheese in it

Bye @ people chopping onions and other things to go on it. Who has the time?

RileyH 08-06-2019 10:54 PM

Just put some cheese on a slice of bread and stick it in the oven really not that difficult

JerseyWins 08-06-2019 10:57 PM

This got me in the mood for grilled cheese so I made that for dinner tonight... haven't ate it in forever, basic really but still pretty good. But the pics I've seen of "cheese on toast" look soo gross to me in comparison :worry:
