What’s your best school memory...?...

...your best school moment..?...and if you want to, your worst school moment also...

Best - I made an apple pie for a cooking exam and my Home Economics teacher said it was the best one of her career.

Worst - A younger student thought I was bullying her but really I was trying to be friendly.

Best memory was leaving school, worst memory was starting school.

Best would be outright telling the bully teacher in our school to F off. It had been a long time coming but how it ended up was..we had a school trip to lightwater valley. The night before I ran away from a detention as I was a bit of a twat. So he decided that he would let me board the bus and that, then tell me infront of everyone that I wasn't going. Which was usual for him BUT, he also said I would not be getting refunded the 30 quid my mother paid. Which kind of set me off on one, and I still to this day think I was right to say that they would have to refund her if they didn't let me go :idc: I didn't expect a refund then and there, and had not actually mentioned it either so he clearly brought it up to make me rage and maybe to make me look stupid. Anyway, a rather large argument followed, during which I basically told him every thing that was wrong with him, he then told me I WOULD go back to school and spend the day writing lines, to which I told him to **** right off, to a lot of giggling, left the bus and kind of strutted out of the school like I owned the place..with him yelling at my back. Ended up with a week suspension mind, which I still do not understand why the school classed having a week off as a punishment, unless it was so that your parents also punished you, but when I told my mum she said I was entirely right, the guy was a dick, and then started going on at the school for the refund  So if the plan was to make my mother kick off, it didn't really work that well, my dad deathstared me for a while though.

It wasn't the incident as such, it was..how it felt to finally tell the horrible man what I actually thought, along with enjoying the other srudents telling me for weeks they wish they had the balls to say stuff like that. Oddly enough, he was nicer with me after that..I also think, in a way, this was what laid the foundations for my being a bit of a gobby twat as an adult.

Oh my god, so many good memories. I think the best ones always ended up with me laughing till my belly hurt, making so many different friends, and evolving as a person. The secondary school I went to was well-known as one of the best in country, so getting in was a big accomplishment in itself.

The worst is probably having to endure the small-minded idiots who would ask "are you gay?!" all the time as if I was an alien. That was difficult because at such an age, I really had no idea myself. It definitely had a slight influence on my own perception of my sexuality, unfortunately. Only for a little while, however.

the best moment was giving a teacher a false name and class to escape a punishment.

We also got a fictitious person added to the register and someone new was tasked each day to shout "HERE" when the name was called

I don’t know about other schools but at mine you wasn’t allowed in the buildings at break and lunchtime.

The doors would be held shut by these magnets on top of the door, we used to stick a 2p onto the magnet to keep the doors from shutting, run in and send the teachers on a wild goose chase

too many!

Me and my friends used to laugh a LOT during break and lunch time, I think it was a period in my laugh where I laughed the most.

But at the same time I felt incredibly lonely and got picked on sometimes.

I also went to re-adjust my trousers in my class once because they were riding up and I pulled down too fast and my pubes and dick were on display - yeah there's that.

Best - standing up to a horrible teacher at the end of Year 11 that just had it in for me from the moment she saw me, don't know why. Everyone noticed how she'd always find things to pick at me for, even another member of staff (my form tutor). Example - she threatened me with multiple after school detentions because I wrote "Xmas" instead of "Christmas" on Christmas cards we were making (it was ICT), you'd swear I'd stuck a swastika on it or something the fuss she made. So we were coming up to the end of the term, just before we finished for good to do our GCSE's and she started having a go about "the way I passed her my work file" and kept going on and on in front of everyone, so I basically had enough and told her to get a life, leave me alone and called her a miserable old bitch and walked out. She rang my parents about it to get me in trouble but I'd already been telling them for like three years what a cow she'd been, my friends had too. So my Mam bollocked her over the phone and she basically didn't bother me for the remaining two weeks of school life, wouldn't even look in my direction!! :joker:

Worst - leaving, honestly. Loved school! Such a laugh. I heard someone's planning a reunion next year as we'll all be 30, yikes! :skull:

Best - The school trip I went on to London to see Wicked, the main reason I’m now into theatre as much as I am

Worst - I can’t really remember a specific moment, all of school was pretty much a bad time for me in general :joker:

Ant. 10-06-2019 07:04 PM

Being chosen for Head Boy was a tad cute (my frenemy broke down crying oops) and then there was the time I got to go to London twice for free
Also went another time (had to pay) but that was a lot cuter because that time we had more free time (even if it was only for one day, albeit a long one)

I also got more awards in awards ceremonies at the end of year than people got awards on TiBB today!

My ticket being picked out of everyone in the school to win a humpty dumpty Easter cake :hee:

And then in a different raffle my ticket was picked 2nd but the first person didn't pick the best prize which was a pink walkman so I got it :hee:
