What's goin on where's the arguments man?

I was watching this compilation earlier and I didn't realise just how normal it was in Series 1 and 2 to have fights and arguments in practically every episode

Series 1 and Series 2 on their own probably had more arguments than 3, 4 and 5 combined. I also liked that 1 and 2's fights weren't always over love/romance either, they felt like BB arguments with fights over stuff like toast etc. :joker: Last series the only arguments that really happened were to do with love/romance/coupling up. Everyone nowadays is too afraid to ruin their image with the public. They need to start casting argumentative people again that generally dislike living with other people!

It’s simple. Throw Charley in! Like what’s not clicking with the producers that they think it’s acceptable to have no drama

They need to bring back the smoking area, most of the drama in S2 happened there.

Do they even cast smokers anymore?

Jason. 11-06-2019 06:53 PM

I feel like they used to give them much more booze in the earlier series as well.

They'd all be fighting at night and then shagging later in bed. :joker:

They're all too desperate for fame now to really act up or anything like that

They do cast smokers, but they have to smoke alone at the front of the villa, off camera

Something about promoting good health and not advertising smoking

This.

The smoking area allows the Islanders to be themselves and It causes tensions.

Yeah, they did that last year, although they didn't even show us like they said they would.

And there was me all along last year thinking they were all non smokers. :skull:

It was only after the show ended that we saw Megan, Jack, Dani etc smoking.

There’s too many “can I have a chat?” and pulling to the side/pre-warning moments. That’s why there’s no conflict.

'Kez? Ke-Kezzy, sorry what's your name? Shall we have a chat? x'

Tony Montana 11-06-2019 09:15 PM

S1 and 2's arguments were magnificent. :flutter:

Yeah definitely this

We need someone to start stirring up the drama!

Tea. The producers telling the Islanders to be frank and share their true feelings with each other (basically just acting like proper adults lol) rather than leaving them to bitch about each other is suppressing the natural tension :(

Ugh I hate this. It makes the show feel so scripted.

They need to send in a slag that's not afraid to step on people's toes and doesn't care.

We want Bethany Rogers back!

Tony Montana 11-06-2019 09:28 PM

I swear there was not one boring day in S2. Every episode had drama.
